Funny Girl is set in and around New York City shortly before and after World War I and tells the tale of Ziegfeld Follies star Fanny Brice and her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein.

Funny Girl brought global fame to Barbra Streisand and boasts some of the most iconic songs in film and theatre history, including People and Don’t Rain On My Parade.

Dan and Boff did exactly that: they ran a series of routes from the centre of the city in which they found themselves, to the top of the peak overlooking that city. But what are we really running from?

ACCESSING SHEFFIELD THEATRES We create and distribute our brochure in a number of different formats upon request. If you would like either a large print, braille or audio version of the brochure please contact our Box Office or email access@sheffieldtheatres.co.uk Facilities at Sheffield Theatres include: Level entrances to the main foyers and lift access to each floor of both the Crucible and Lyceum.

The main Box Office, located in the Crucible, features a lower counter. There are spaces in each auditorium for wheelchair users, as well as a number of seats with level access, which can be booked by calling the Box Office.

Assistance dogs are welcome in public areas of the theatre, including the auditorium during the show. Alternatively we can take care of them during the performance. We ask that you pre-book your dog if you would like us to do this.

A loop system is available at the Box Office counter and we operate an infrared system in the auditorium.

Accessible toilets are located in both buildings, the Crucible also has a Changing Places toilet.

Audio Described Performances and Touch Tours Audio description provides a live commentary of the action on stage, interspersed with the actors’ dialogue. Description can be listened to via a headset.

Some Audio Described performances are preceded by a Touch Tour offering the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the set, props and costumes in advance of a performance.

British Sign Language Interpretation Box Office staff can advise on the best seats for a good view of the interpreter and stage.

Captioned Performances Captioning converts the dialogue and sound effects on stage into text which is displayed on a screen on or near the stage.

Schools For the majority of our shows tickets are £12 for full-time education groups of 10 or more, with one free supervisory ticket for every 10 tickets bought. Speak to the Box Office for further details.

Discounts and Concessions Concessions are available for Senior Citizens (60+), registered unemployed, disabled, full time students and children under 16. Concession rates vary and are subject to availability. All discounts are subject to availability. Companions are free. Please speak to a member of our Box Office team for details.

No Transaction Fees Here at Sheffield Theatres there are no transaction fees when you book your tickets. However you pay, you will only pay the price of your tickets.

On non-performance days the Box Office closes at 6pm. On Sundays and Bank Holidays the Box Office opens one hour before the show.

Sheffield Theatres Trust 55 Norfolk Street, Sheffield S1 1DA Q Park Audience members are offered a discount off Q Park Charles Street parking. Simply ask a member of the team to claim your first hour free parking voucher.

For customers with access needs, onstreet parking for blue badge holders is available on Norfolk Street and Surrey Street (both less than 50m from the Theatres).

Public Transport We are 10 minute walk from the Train Station and the Transport Interchange is nearby. The nearest bus stops are on Arundel Gate (50m) and High Street (300m). There are two Supertram stops in close proximity to the Theatres: Castle Square and Cathedral (400m).
