Wide Span Sheds are designed to protect against our harsh weather and are manufactured in Australia from BlueScope GALVASPAN® steel, COLORBOND® steel and ZINCALUME® steel.
Using BlueScope steel, our open front farm sheds offer durability, strength and value.

Wide Span Sheds are made using Australian steel from BlueScope—one of the country’s most trusted manufacturers. Our buildings are clad in genuine COLORBOND® steel, tested by BlueScope for over 50 years in some of Australia’s harshest conditions. Backed by industry-leading warranties, this combination delivers durability, low maintenance, and a finish that looks great and will deliver outstanding, long life performance.
If there aren't 22 colours, it's not COLORBOND®.

For NRL star Latrell Mitchell, the farm is his escape from the game – and his Wide Span Sheds country barn is designed to suit the lifestyle.
Used to store his tractor and essential equipment, the structure features COLORBOND® steel, Monument® walls and COLORBOND® steel Bluegum® roofing, two roller doors, a PA door and roof insulation.

The Studio Shed is designed to be whatever you need it to be - whether it's a home office, gym, backyard retreat, she shed, kids' hideaway, storage solution, or even a games room.
We supply the steel frame kit and give you the freedom to finish the interior to suit your needs.

Australian music legend, Shannon Noll, teamed up with Wide Span Sheds to design a shed that combines farm storage with a recording studio.
This versatile setup allows Nollsie to store all of his farm equipment, host parties and have a private space to work on his music. This multi-purpose oasis features walls clad in COLORBOND® steel Monument®, with contrasting Dover White™ doors and roof.

Strong, spacious, and versatile — portal frame living offers the freedom and flexibility of layout within the confines of a shed structure. These Class 1a liveable sheds are one of the fastest growing trends in housing alternatives, engineered to meet the standards for permanent residential use. With wide open spans and minimal internal supports, you’ll enjoy greater freedom to customise floor plans to suit your lifestyle.
Portal frame buildings are different to stud frame buildings. If in doubt, ask one of our sales team to explain the difference and benefits to help you choose the best building for you.

At Wide Span Sheds we are committed to providing you with a premium, yet affordable, steel kit building solution. Years of research and development have gone into developing a robust framing system that offers superior protection, along with immense flexibility in design.

Our unique haunch bracket design strengthens the rafter-over-column haunch joint and prevents axial torque (twisting).

In larger buildings, a knee brace is provided to strenghten the haunch connection, column and rafter.

Top hats or fully bolted Z purlins and girts with extra strength from larger overlaps (10% of bay width plus an extra 100mm).

Cross bracing to the roof and walls is used to provide additional stability to the building. Available in steel strap or cable.

Apex bracket to the full depth of the rafter 'C' section with full width return to the upper flanges and strengthening features to the bottom of the bracket.

Fly bracing to prevent the column or rafter from twisting or rotating under load.

In larger buildings, an Apex Brace is added which aids greatly in maintaining structural integrity.

A number of fixing methods are available based on client preferences and engineering requirements.

With industry-leading software and superior building materials, Wide Span Sheds can offer customisations and optional add-ons to ensure your shed is tailored to your unique needs.
