URGENT, Inc's presents our latest comic "ABBE: A Beautiful Black Entrepreneur" that focuses on themes of empowerment, entrepreneurship and advocacy under the guidance of industry professional Chivas Davis. The comic story was developed, written and character design was produced by URGENT, Inc's Rites of Passage middle schoolers with lead illustrator Juberney Etienne, an eighth grader. The story addresses issues of racism and bullying from a youth lens where the lead character realizes her power in advocacy for equitable treatment at her middle school for all students through empowerment and self-discovery while emphasizing the importance of recognition of Black history that lends to world history.
