Defined to the east by our beautiful Lake Michigan coastline and carved to the west by the rolling hills, woods, and marshes of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, Sheboygan County offers beauty and bounty wherever you look. The Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to the Malibu of the Midwest, Bratwurst and Cheese Capitols of the World, and overall, a fantastic place to visit, work, and live. As the President of the Board of Directors, I have the privilege to Think B.I.G. and Influence Local with Deidre and the Chamber team to support the betterment, improvement and growth of Sheboygan County.
Over the past few years, our County has hosted some of the most popular spectator events in the world. From the Ryder Cup in 2021 at Whistling Straits to the Mercury Racing Midwest Challenge, Sheboygan County has taken center stage for the world to see.
Our County is a hidden gem discovered by more people each year. If you plan to visit, live, or work in Sheboygan County, this guide is an excellent place to start. Leadership Sheboygan County
Current and emerging leaders with the capacity to make a postivie impact in the community join together every year to complete this program in leadership. The program joins together a diverse group of professionals in various careers to participate in this nine month course. Participants acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to build effective leadership and learn more about organizations in the community. The Chamber offers scholarships for this opportunity.
Coastal Young Professionals Network
Coastal Young Professionals Network’s goal is to attract, engage, and retain young, diverse talent to Sheboygan County by providing opportunities for young professionals to design their social culture, serve as civic innovators and community stewards, and delevop into the next generation of leaders for Sheboygan County. Junior Leadership Sheboygan County
Our junior leadership program is a transformative journey designed to cultivate the next generation of visionary leaders. Rooted in the principles of mentorship, skill development, and experiential learning, our program empowers young individuals to unlock their full potential and become catalysts for positive change in their communities and beyond. Through interactive workshops, hands-on projects, and immersive experiences, participants gain invaluable insights into effective communication, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
Young Professionals Best Under 40 Awards
The Sheboygan County Chamber’s Coastal Young Professional Network hosts the Best Under 40 Professional Awards, recognizing the talented young professionals who have made incredible efforts to achieve greatness in leadership, community engagement, professional achievement, and volunteerism in Sheboygan County. Featured is Alexandra Nugent Timofeeva, 2023 Young Professional of the Year.

Executive Series
Semi-annual meetings that educate the public on the latest industry trends and opportunities. In 2023-2024 we hosted Paul Bartelt and Erik Lampe, the outgoing and incoming CEO’s of The Vollrath Company, LLC, and Kristin Blanchard Stearns, CEO of Lakeshore Community Health Care. These leaders in their field share information in engaging and relevant ways.
ATHENA Awards fulfill ATHENA’s mission to support, develop, and honor women leaders, inspire women to achieve their full potential, and create balance in leadership worldwide.
STEAMFest allows 4th & 5th grade students to interact and experience diverse industries. These companies showcase the capabilities of their own company while students are encouraged to imagine and explore career choices in those fields.
Explore Your Future is an event where students learn about their personality type and the different careers that are well-suited to their personality, careers they’ve never thought about, and careers they find interesting. Professionals in various fields make themselves available to students to discuss their futures.
Business Education Partnership is a dynamic group of business, education, and workforce development leaders. Their focus is on developing partnerships and aligning resources to ensure a strong future workforce.

Sheboygan Theatre Company (STC) is a deeply rooted, multi-generational community theatre serving Sheboygan and its surrounding areas. This non-profit organization creates quality theatrical productions connecting national professionals with local talent in a variety of educational and entertaining programming for all. STC produces at least four mainstage shows each year in the Leslie W. Johnson Theatre on the Horace Mann Middle School campus.

The Weill Center presents a series of live performances including music, comedy, variety acts, movies and more. In 2001 the theater was restored to its original Spanish Colonial Revival architectural style and atmospheric theater, as built in 1928. Village of Cedar Grove
If you drove along the shores of Lake Michigan and found yourself in Cedar Grove it wouldn’t take long to figure out that the quaint little village has deep roots in Dutch heritage. The full sized windmill downtown is a sure sign. Like its Dutch neighbor Oostburg to the north, Cedar Grove was settled by Dutch pioneers who established the village in the 1840’s. The town celebrates that heritage with its popular Holland Fest. This two day celebration, held every July, actually quadruples the town’s population. This celebration features a parade, street scrubbing, ethnic food, music, and costumes, including wooden shoes. This family friendly village is home to several restaurants, grocery and hardware stores, and a tavern. There is plenty of green space with parks and natural areas. Located 7 miles from Sheboygan between Interstate 43 and Wisconsin Highway 23 is the Village of Oostburg, which was settled by Dutch immigrants in the 1840’s. Just one walk through the quiet streets and you’ll quickly see the many reminders of those early settlers, including tulips, miniature windmills and neat and tidy homes. You’ll feel at home in Oostburg because of the close-knit, family friendly community. Every other summer, on the second Friday in August be sure to visit August Fest, which is the biggest block party in the village. And on every other Friday night it seems as though the entire town turns out to cheer on and support the football or basketball teams. The Interurban Trail, once the Milwaukee Electric and Light Company route, is a 40 mile paved path connecting Milwaukee and Sheboygan with a trailhead in downtown Oostburg. Plymouth is a lovely little city full of architectural treasures and beautiful cream city brick buildings on the banks of the Mullett River. The cultural heart of the city is the Plymouth Arts Center, which offers art classes, a gallery, theatrical performances and other special community events. The Mill Street Festival is always a well received event featuring vendors, performers and various live bands. Downtown Plymouth is home to 25 building murals which showcase the community’s rich history. Located in the rolling hills of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, residents and visitors can hike, trail run, mountain bike, cross-country ski, snowmobile, ride horses and even camp! With many beautiful parks in Plymouth there is no shortage of family friendly activities. This is everything from ice skating on the mill pond and sledding in the winter, to swimming at the Aquatic Center, putt-putt or Frisbee golf in the summer. Village of Random Lake
Located in south central Sheboygan County, the Village of Random Lake is only 45 minutes north of Milwaukee situated along State Highway 57. At 209 acres, Random Lake is the second largest lake in Sheboygan County and is always bustling with activity in every season. From boating and tubing to building sand castles on the beach or ice fishing in the winter, there is always something to keep you active. Its scenic shoreline is ringed with well kept homes, manicured parklands and environmental corridors. Random Lake has an unbelievable wealth of organizations and services rarely found in a village of 1600. It is home to a wide variety of service related businesses and manufacturing, not to mention fine supper clubs and restaurants. What you won’t find here is stop lights, parking meters, strip malls or fast food. Put this all together and you’ll have a great community to call home as a business or resident.

Arts/Industry Celebrates 50 Years
Join Us for a Year of Community Events and Exhibitions
During the past 50 years, the Arts/Industry residency program has hosted more than 500 artists from 26 countries in the Kohler Pottery and Foundry. In celebration of the anniversary, a selection of artwork contributed to the Kohler Art Collection by resident artists will be displayed in the community throughout 2024. Visitors can view these works in a variety of environments around Sheboygan County. Admission is always free.

Arts/Industry Galleries, Washrooms, and Grounds
Exhibitions throughout seven galleries will share the story of how Arts/Industry began as an experiment and has continued to thrive. Exhibitions will include works by alumni and current artist residents and hands-on artmaking events to engage visitors of all ages.
Award-winning washrooms at JMKAC and its sister museum, the Art Preserve, feature tile, plumbing ware, and other decorative elements created by Arts/Industry artists. Internationally recognized, the washrooms are open to the general public every day.

Arts/Industry 50th Collective Exhibition and Walking Tour
The Arts/Industry 50th Collective Exhibition provides a distinct opportunity to engage in the imagination of artists and their curious exploration of industrial processes. Open now through November 2024.
The Kohler Walking Tour showcases select pieces drawn from the Kohler Art Collection. The walk winds through grounds of The American Club and the Shops at Woodlake for visitors to explore.
Additional artwork created by resident artists will be displayed on the grounds of the JMKAC, The Art Preserve, and throughout the community.
