NAMED A FINALIST FOR ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR 2022 Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) today announced that Mr. Alexander Duran, founder and CEO of Duran Entities was named an Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2022 New Jersey Award finalist.

Entrepreneur Of The Year is one of the preeminent competitive business awards for entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who think big to succeed.

Mr. Duran was selected by a panel of independent judges according to the following criteria – entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact – among other core contributions and attributes. Mr. Duran owns and operates several companies in New Jersey - two award-winning restaurants in New Jersey: Son Cubano established in 2011 with his brother Edward; and VENTANAS established in 2019 as its sole owner/operator; a hospitality consulting company; and he co-owns Sowing Seed School, an early childhood daycare center, with his wife Marilyn a lifelong educator.

"I am humbled and honored to be a finalist for such a prestigious award,” said Mr. Duran. “I'd like to thank my family for always supporting me, my diligent staff, and most importantly God. ATLANTIC CITY – New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced today that the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Ørsted Offshore North America for New Jersey’s first offshore wind project, Ocean Wind 1. Ørsted, the world’s largest developer of offshore wind, is partnering with PSEG on the Ocean Wind 1 project. The project’s 1,100 megawatts of power are enough to power 500,000 New Jersey homes.

Department: Office of Strategic Communications Reports To : Executive Director of Content Planning and Intelligence Position Type: Staff Position Summary: The bilingual content producer performs assigned writing and editing duties, such as writing for stories for the NJIT Newsroom, marketing and PR copy and other publications with consideration for Spanish-speaking audiences and cultures.

Essential Functions: - Responsible for a wide variety of assignments, such as writing and/or editing internal and external communications, copywriting, letters, emails, news/feature stories, media pitches, press releases, and website content.

- Provide brand and quality control for external department and organizational efforts by writing, proofreading and/or editing a wide variety of communications pieces, including emails, letters, notices, programs, magazines, website content, press releases, news/feature stories, internal and external communications, etc.

- Cultivate relationships with faculty and staff so as to create content suitable for various target audiences.
