Sergeant Kennedy Ladon Sanders

June 30, 1999 - January 28, 2024

In loving memory of Sgt. Kennedy Ladon Sanders, a vibrant and dedicated 24-year-old whose leadership and service left a powerful legacy. From her earliest days, Kennedy showed a fearless and determined spirit shaped by growing up with two active brothers. That courage and competitive drive carried her through achievements as an accomplished athlete in basketball, soccer, and softball, and later as a respected leader in the U.S. Army.

Joining the Army Reserves in 2019 as a Horizontal Construction Engineer, Kennedy served with honor during deployments to Africa and the Middle East, earning a posthumous promotion to Sergeant granted by President Joe Biden. Her determination to keep learning, ranging from studying Italian to practicing jiu jitsu reflected her boundless curiosity and enthusiasm for life.

Kennedy’s radiant energy , resilience, and positive spirit inspired everyone she met, whether on the sports field, the battlefield, or at home. Her legacy reminds us all to live with courage, compassion, and the willingness to serve others. May she rest in peace, her light forever shining in our hearts.

Kevin Lin

Kevin Lin describes his leadership journey as one built on quiet service and perseverance. From Beta Club to FBLA, he learned to support others, organize events, and represent South Georgia students on the Georgia SuperintendentAdvisory Council. Kevin believes leadership is about showing up with humility, honesty, and care, aiming to make a difference wherever he goes, whether in healthcare or beyond.

Juan Manabat

Juan Manabat discovered his leadership path through FBLA, finding courage during a presentation event that became his “lollipop” moment. Encouraged by mentors, he stepped fully into leadership, later becoming Georgia FBLAState Secretary and serving over 25,000 members. Juan is driven by helping others see their own potential, just as someone once helped him.

DestinyAllgood

DestinyAllgood found her leadership spark through marching band and Beta Club, learning empathy and the power of giving back. Now as captain of the Golden Gator Band’s color guard, she fosters positivity and supports her team. Destiny is motivated by a desire to repay the support she received and to build a thriving, safe community.

Conleigh Steedley

Conleigh Steedley began leading at age 12 by founding her own dogsitting business, expanding it to cats and tortoises while dreaming of veterinary work.Through Beta Club and National Honor Society, she has donated items, served at hurricane relief sites, and helped teach volunteers. Conleigh believes kindness ripples through communities and strives to make someone’s day brighter

Cayden Smith

Cayden Smith leads through encouragement and humility As copresident of DECA, he inspired members and planned communitybased events, learning that true leadership often involves unseen work. He finds motivation in the genuine appreciation of those he serves, guided by faith and a passion for quiet acts of kindness.

Matthew Lawton Davis

Matthew Davis began leading as an NJHS secretary, later serving as a swim team captain and a Beta Club and FBLAofficer. His journey has included motivating teammates, planning events, and representing his chapter in competitions. Matthew is committed to inspiring others through resilience, teamwork, and a desire to improve his community

Maria Tellez

MariaTellez transformed from a shy child into a community-minded leader inspired by her immigrant family’s experiences. Witnessing global poverty firsthand drove her to serve through academic clubs and community projects. Maria believes in spreading kindness and using every opportunity to make a difference, no matter how small.

Carlie White

Carlie White’s leadership emerged early, from Georgia Quiz Bowl captain in fifth grade to multiple roles in high school. She discovered her passion for encouraging others through FCCLA, Beta Club, FBLA, and mentoring programs. Carlie aims to ignite leadership in those around her, believing that service can spark a ripple effect of empowerment.

Mia Washington

At just nine years old, Mia Washington shines as a kind, silly, and creative leader. From Girl Scouts to writing her own book, she supports other kids with encouragement and joy. Mia’s dreams of becoming a teacher, chef, and musician reflect her big-hearted desire to help others learn, grow, and dream fearlessly.

Dreama Tuell

DreamaTuell built her leadership through college experiences as a drumline captain and chapter president of SigmaAlpha Iota. She found purpose in mentoring, civic engagement, and advocating for inclusivity in education.As she continues her master’s program, Dreama aims to create supportive, equitable classrooms that empower all students.

Artezah Reed

Artezah Reed learned leadership by uplifting others through events like Special Olympics, pep rallies, and local festivals. She values listening, bringing people together, and inspiring smiles. With dreams of becoming a physical therapist,Artezah plans to keep making a positive impact by supporting, teaching, and empowering others to heal and thrive.

Heidi Howard

Heidi Howard uses leadership as a way to serve, encourage, and inspire.Through volleyball, book drives, and voter registration, she shows how small, consistent acts can spark big change. Heidi hopes to expand her service and lead programs that promote literacy, wellness, and compassion in her community.

Harlen Valentine

Harlen Valentine sees leadership through the lens of community, storytelling, and advocacy. From public information work to launching a podcast and vintage shop, Harlen blends creativity with a desire to uplift voices. His leadership is rooted in compassion and a deep drive to build spaces where everyone feels heard and valued.

Kingsley Rivers Wesley

Second-grader Kingsley Rivers Wesley is already an active and compassionate leader. From spelling bees to starting her own stuffed animal drive, Kingsley blends academics with service. Her faith, family, and big dreams — from pilot to hairstylist — guide her to lead with courage and creativity.

JadaYoung

JadaYoung sees leadership as a way to lift up others and advocate for inclusive education.Through volunteer work and mentoring, she aims to make classrooms welcoming and equitable for every child. Jada is determined to continue leading with empathy and passion, working toward a better future in education.

Jada Evans

Jada Evans defines leadership as being present, supportive, and grounded.As a cheerleader, worship leader, and mentor, she empowers others through encouragement and example. Heading to Kennesaw State, Jada wants to spark interest in technology among young women and uplift her community through faith and service.

Javonte Evans

Javonte Evans sees leadership as resilience and service. From overcoming anAchilles injury to leading football teammates and volunteering for political causes, he models strength and commitment. Heading to Georgia Military College to study kinesiology, Javonte aims to break stereotypes and inspire younger generations by leading with action and heart.

Akeem Gibson

Akeem Gibson leads by listening, supporting, and problem-solving. His leadership emerged naturally through community projects and helping classmates succeed. Motivated by a desire to make things better, Akeem wants to grow as a leader who inspires trust, empathy, and teamwork without seeking personal recognition.

Derick Jenkins, Jr. grew into leadership through music, serving as Drum Major of the Golden Gator Band and on a community youth board. He learned patience, responsibility, and the importance of showing up for others. Derick hopes to keep serving and leading with humility, purpose, and dedication as he moves forward.

Dauntiara Lewis

Dauntiara Lewis rose to leadership by encouraging her peers to excel, graduating with honors and founding organizations to support Black entrepreneurs and youth. From a fashion boutique to mentorship programs, she channels creativity into service. Currently studying medical physiology, Dauntiara is dedicated to making a lasting impact.

Jada Roberts

Jada Roberts turned personal challenges into a platform to motivate and support students. From starting Starrtalks LLC to working in her school district, she focuses on improving mental wellness, resilience, and leadership among youth. Her energy and dedication make her a powerful advocate for student success.

Jayden Boggs

Jayden Boggs leads through military service and community action, volunteering on base and planning programs to inspire kids. Committed to protecting others, Jayden hopes to become a criminal defense attorney while serving in the military. His story shows a steady, resilient approach to leadership with a heart for service.

Natalie Scheuing

Natalie Scheuing shows leadership through service, volunteering with RebuildingTogether, FCA, and the Miracle League. Whether encouraging classmates or helping homeowners, Natalie approaches life with compassion and joy. She hopes to keep sharing her faith and uplifting her community for years to come.

Kaylee Hunt

Kaylee Hunt blends academic excellence with service, from volunteering during college to working in community supervision today As a probation and parole officer, she supports clients through accountability and resources while also giving back through personal service projects. Kaylee is committed to building stronger, safer communities through compassion and guidance.

Donovan Spears

Donovan Spears was a dedicated student, mentor, and volunteer before his tragic passing.Active in the Golden Gator Marching Band, JROTC, and opioid awareness initiatives, he inspired others with his ambition and service. Donovan’s legacy continues through the recognition of his commitment to helping others succeed.
