AND ITS LINK TO CANCER PREVENTION

Vitamin D, also known as the sunshine vitamin, is crucial for maintaining health. Vitamin D is essential for bone health and immune function. For the last 20 years, researchers have studied vitamin D to determine if it can help to prevent certain cancers. The theory that it may is built upon the role vitamin D plays in regulating cell growth, proliferation and cell death (apoptosis). Data published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2019 that was based on the largest randomized clinical trials on the topic, the VITAL (Vitamin D and Omega-3 Trial), reveals the link between vitamin D and cancer prevention is nuanced. The primary finding was that vitamin D supplementation did not significantly lower the overall incidence rate of invasive cancer in the general population, when compared to the placebo. However, when researchers looked into specific cancer types, the VITAL study showed a statistically significant 38 percent reduction in total cancer mortality (death from cancer) among participants who took vitamin D for at least two years. Among the more than 25,000 men and women who participated, those who took 2,000 international units of vitamin D each day for an average of 5.3 years were nearly 20 percent less likely than those who took the placebo to have an advanced cancer, which is defined as one that metastasized or proved fatal. The risk reduction also correlated to participants being at a normal weight. Researchers didn’t see a benefit in people who were overweight or obese. There has been a compelling trend regarding colorectal cancer and vitamin D supplementation. Data published in JAMA Network Open showed that those who consistently supplemented with vitamin D had a roughly 17 to 25 percent lower risk of developing advanced colorectal adenomas or cancer, suggesting a potential benefit for protecting against gastrointestinal malignancies. While vitamin D is vital for overall health, it cannot conclusively and universally be recommended as a cancer prevention measure for the general public, based on scientific consensus supported by the National Cancer Institute and other medical organizations. However, given the link between vitamin D and cancer mortality, supplementing with vitamin D is a low-risk measure individuals can adopt. It’s always best to consult with a doctor for more guidance about appropriate supplementation doses and health strategies.

KNOW THE SIGNS: Understanding hernias and when to seek care Many people experience a small bulge or discomfort in their abdomen and assume it’s nothing serious. But in some cases, it may be a hernia, a common condition that affects millions of Americans each year.

in the abdominal wall, particularly in areas that are naturally weaker.

A hernia occurs when tissue or part of an organ pushes through a weak area in the muscle or connective tissue that normally holds it in place. While hernias can develop at any age, they become more common as people get older and can affect both men and women. According to Andrew Feyh, MD, a general surgeon at OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine Medical Center, most hernias occur

“There are some built-in weak spots in the abdominal wall, particularly around the belly button or in the groin area,” Dr. Feyh said. “In addition, anytime you’ve had a prior surgery in that area, there can be weaknesses that get introduced where incisions were made.” Hernias are among the most common conditions treated by general surgeons. Inguinal hernias, which occur in the groin, are especially common and are significantly more likely to affect men than women.

Several factors can increase a person’s risk of developing a hernia. Excess body weight places additional pressure on the abdominal wall, while activities that involve frequent heavy lifting can strain weakened tissue. Chronic coughing, pregnancy, constipation and previous abdominal surgeries can also increase the likelihood of developing a hernia by repeatedly increasing pressure inside the abdomen.

ANDREW FEYH, MD

MATTHEW HEFTY, MD

While not every hernia can be prevented, Dr. Feyh says maintaining a healthy weight, using proper lifting techniques and seeking treatment for conditions that cause persistent coughing or straining may help reduce risk.

weakened area is repaired, sometimes with mesh reinforcement to provide additional strength and reduce the risk of recurrence. Although most hernias are not immediately dangerous, some can become emergencies if a portion of the intestine becomes trapped. Warning signs include severe or worsening pain, abdominal swelling, nausea, vomiting or an inability to eat or drink normally. “If it gets to be extremely painful, then that’s a reason to come and get evaluated, possibly in the Emergency Department,” Dr. Feyh said.

One of the most recognizable signs of a hernia is a bulge that becomes more noticeable when standing, coughing or lifting. Some people may experience only mild discomfort, while others develop aching, pressure or pain that gradually worsens over time.

OSF Saint Katharine provides expert general surgery care through Andrew Feyh, MD, and Matthew Hefty, MD. Patients can receive consultations and surgical care in Dixon at Commerce Towers and in Sterling at the OSF Saint Katharine Center for Health.

Unlike a pulled muscle, hernias do not heal on their own. In many cases, surgical repair is recommended to relieve symptoms and prevent complications. During surgery, the protruding tissue is returned to its proper position, and the

Do My Lenses Need Polished Edges? BY NEIL UHER

When you order new lenses, you might be asked whether you want the edges polished. It’s an easy question to wave off, but the answer actually depends on your frame and your prescription. Here’s how to tell whether it matters for your glasses. What “polished edges” actually means When we grind a lens to fit a frame, the cut edge comes out frosted and matte, like the surface of ground glass. Polishing buffs that edge until it’s smooth and glossy, closer to clear. It has nothing to do with your prescription or how well you see. The center of the lens, the part you look through, is the same either way (anti reflective coating is recommended to help reduce inner reflections). Edge polishing is about the rim of the lens: how it looks and, in some cases, how light plays off it. When polished edges are worth it Rimless and semi-rimless frames. This is the big one. If your glasses have no frame around the lens, or only a partial rim, the edge of the lens is right out in the open. A frosted edge looks unfinished and catches dirt. A polished edge looks clean and intentional. On rimless and drill-mount styles, we almost always recommend polishing. Strong prescriptions with thick edges. The higher your prescription, the thicker the lens edge, especially for nearsighted (minus) prescriptions, which are thickest at the outer edge. A thick frosted edge shows up as a white band around your lenses. Polishing that edge makes it more translucent, so the thickness is far less obvious. It won’t make the lens thinner, but it makes thick lenses look a lot cleaner. If your prescription is on the stronger side, this is a real cosmetic upgrade. Thin or lightly built frames. Even with a full frame, some thin metal or acetate styles leave a sliver of the lens edge visible from the side. If you’ve noticed a white line peeking out of your current glasses, polished edges fix that. When you can skip it If your lenses sit inside a full frame that covers the edge completely, polishing is mostly cosmetic and usually unnecessary. You’re never going to see that edge, so there’s little reason to pay for finishing it. A standard frosted edge tucked inside a thick acetate or metal frame works just fine.

In short: the more of your lens edge that shows, the more polishing matters. One tradeoff worth knowing Polished edges are glossy, and glossy surfaces catch light. On very thick, high-minus lenses, a polished edge can occasionally “light pipe,” picking up reflections around the rim in bright conditions. For most prescriptions this is a non-issue, and the cleaner look is well worth it. But if you have a very strong prescription, it’s worth a quick conversation about whether polishing, a thinner high-index material, or both is the best route for your lenses. That’s the kind of thing we’ll talk through with you rather than guess at. It comes down to the edge you’ll actually see Here’s the simple way to decide: If your frame is rimless or semi-rimless, polish the edges. They’re on display. If your prescription is strong enough to leave thick edges, polishing makes them look cleaner, even in a full frame. If your lenses sit fully inside a frame that hides the edge, you can usually skip it. We polish edges right here All of our edge work is done in our Rock Falls lab, not shipped out somewhere. That includes replacement lenses for a frame you already own. If you’ve got a favorite rimless frame and you want new lenses finished properly, we can grind, polish, and fit them in-house. And if you’re not sure whether your glasses need polished edges, send us a quick photo or bring them in and we’ll tell you straight. Not every lens needs polished edges. But on the right frame and the right prescription, it’s the difference between glasses that look finished and glasses that look like they came off a machine. If you’re ordering new lenses and you’re not sure, just ask. It’s exactly the kind of detail we pay attention to. Questions about your lenses? See Clearly, Look Great: The Real Benefits of Prescription Sunglasses by Neil Uher II, ABO-AC June 20, 2026 Most people who wear prescription glasses face the same dilemma every summer: squinting through the sun, fumbling between two pairs of glasses, or simply resigning themselves to seeing the world in a blur behind a pair of drugstore tinted lenses. It doesn’t have to be that way. Prescription sunglasses solve this problem entirely — and the benefits go well beyond convenience. Here’s why they’re one of the smartest optical investments you can make.

1. You Can Actually See Clearly Outside

blocking 100% of UVA and UVB rays. That’s the same protection as the best nonprescription sunglasses, with the added benefit of corrected vision.

3. No More Swapping Between Two Pairs If you wear prescription glasses, you know the routine: go inside, switch to your regular glasses. Go outside, switch to sunglasses (and squint). Drive home, switch again. It’s annoying at best and genuinely inconvenient at worst — especially when you need to read something in bright light.

This one sounds obvious, but it’s worth saying: regular sunglasses don’t correct your vision. If you need glasses to see, putting on a standard pair of sunglasses means trading one problem (glare) for another (blurred vision).

Prescription sunglasses eliminate the swap. One pair, outdoors. One pair, indoors. Your life gets simpler.

Prescription sunglasses give you both. Your full corrective power — whether that’s single vision, bifocal, or progressive — built right into a lens that’s also tinted and UV-blocking. No compromise. Clear vision and sun protection, at the same time.

Squinting in bright light is tiring. When your eyes are constantly working against glare — especially if you’re also straining to see without proper correction — the result is often headaches, fatigue, and sore eyes by the end of the day.

2. Your Eyes Get Real UV Protection

Prescription sunglasses reduce that strain significantly. Properly tinted and corrective lenses let your eyes relax in bright conditions instead of fighting them, which means you feel better after a day outdoors.

UV radiation is serious business. Long-term exposure without protection increases the risk of cataracts, macular degeneration, and other vision-threatening conditions. The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends wearing UV-blocking eyewear anytime you’re outside — not just at the beach. The good news: prescription sunglass lenses can be made with full UV400 protection,

4. Less Eye Strain and Fewer Headaches

5. Safer Driving in Sunlight and Glare Glare is a genuine driving hazard. Sun low on the horizon, reflected light off wet pavement, oncoming headlights — all of these temporarily blind drivers and contribute to accidents every year.

104 East 3rd Street

Prescription sunglasses with polarized lenses are one of the most practical safety upgrades you can make as a driver who wears glasses. Polarization cuts reflected glare dramatically, while the prescription ensures you’re seeing the road with full clarity.

6. Style Without Sacrifice Here’s where it gets fun. Prescription sunglasses aren’t limited to boring, clinicallooking frames. Any sunglass frame you love — aviators, wayfarers, oversized, sport-wrap — can be fitted with prescription lenses. You get to wear the frames you like and see the way you need to. And if you already have a favorite pair of sunglasses that fit perfectly? You might not need to replace them at all.

Already Have Sunglasses You Love? We Can Add Your Prescription. At UseMyFrame, we specialize in fitting prescription lenses into frames you already own. If you have a pair of sunglasses with the right shape and depth to accommodate optical lenses, we can cut and mount your prescription directly into them — saving you the cost of new frames and letting you keep the pair that already fits your face perfectly. We handle single vision, bifocal, and progressive prescriptions in sunglass tints, polarized options, photochromic (transition) lenses, and more. Every lens is cut by hand in our family-run lab, inspected before it ships, and backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If you’re ready to stop squinting and start seeing clearly in the sun, we’d love to help.

THE ROLE OF REGULATION IN THERAPY MARY ALICE WENTLING, LCPC, NCC, REGISTERED PLAY THERAPIST NATALIE J. MOELLER, LCSW, CERTIFIED TRAUMA THERAPIST Mental health therapies help individuals build awareness, insights and tools to change. However, accessing these benefits can be challenging when the nervous system is stuck in a state of high alert or shame. For therapy to be successful the therapist will most often use co-regulation as a supportive process to help individuals manage their emotions, behaviors and mistaken thought processes through warm, connected interactions. The shared experience helps individuals gradually develop self-regulation skills , making it easier to address life challenges. The science behind co-regulation involves the knowledge of the autonomic nervous system – fight/flight or hide/collapse as protective responses the brain has developed to keep individuals safe. Co-regulation helps individuals achieve a state of safety and connection to self and others. This coregulation matters because it allows individuals the ability to develop and nurture their own emotional resilience. Important statistics from Haven Family Chiropractic tell more of the story: Up to 15% of children struggle with emotional regulation on their own and rely heavily on adult co-regulation. Clinical observations show that when children lack proper nervous system regulation, 82% show constant movement, 71% have trouble sleeping, and 68% get stomach aches before school. (National Institute of Health,2023) When people closely connect, their breathing rates and heart rate match up to create a shared sense of safety. Clinical studies using brain scans show that close friends sync their brain activity to help process and lower negative feelings like anger or stress. The body uses chemical messengers like oxytocin (the bonding chemical) and cortisol (the stress hormone) to share and balance emotional states between individuals. So having We have counselors specializing in:

that trustworthy friend(s) you co-regulate with is literally supporting your well-being! The therapists at Moeller, Myers, & Associates are co-regulation experts. THE JOURNEY OF A LITTLE HEART Sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference. In January 2014, a small quilted heart was discovered near a cave at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. There was no name, no explanation, and no indication of who had left it there. The only message attached to the heart was simple: “I need a home.” The three sisters who discovered the heart were intrigued. After returning home, they searched the internet, explored abandoned art projects, investigated geocaching coordinates, and tried to uncover the story behind their unexpected find. They never discovered where the heart came from. Instead, they discovered something else: the joy of finding it. That experience inspired the creation of IFAQH (It Found A Quilt Heart), a grassroots project built around the simple idea of leaving handmade quilted hearts in public places for strangers to find. Over the past decade, hundreds of hearts have found their way into the world. The project remains intentionally simple and anonymous, with no hidden agenda. The goal is simply to give someone an unexpected moment of joy and connection. Now, that spirit of kindness and connection has found a home at The Serenity Shed (131 N 3rd Street in Oregon, IL), Serenity Hospice & Home’s community bereavement and support center in downtown Oregon.

For those experiencing grief, crafting can offer more than a creative outlet. It can provide a reason to gather, something meaningful to do with one’s hands, an opportunity for conversation, and a chance to create something that will bring happiness to someone else. The hearts made at The Serenity Shed will eventually leave the hands of their makers and find their way into the community. The people who made them may never know who discovers them—or what that person might be experiencing when they do. And perhaps that is what makes the project so meaningful. Someone who is grieving can create something intended to bring joy to a stranger. Someone who may be having a difficult day can unexpectedly discover a small reminder that kindness still exists. The journey of each heart is different. Some may be found quickly; others may wait patiently for the right person to come along. But each carries the same simple message: you found me, and now I need a home. From an unexpected discovery in a Nevada state park to a gathering of people creating hearts together in Oregon, the IFAQH project illustrates how kindness can travel farther than we ever realize. A few supplies. A little time. And a whole lot of heart.

The Serenity Shed provides a welcoming space for anyone experiencing grief. Its programs include support groups, For more information about IFAQH, visit creative activities, and opportunities to connect with others ifoundaquiltedheart.com and serenityhospiceandhome.org for who understand that grief can take many forms. The Shed’s more information on Serenity Hospice & Home. mission is not to tell people how to grieve, but to provide companionship, understanding, and a safe place to navigate the journey. One of its weekly gatherings, Tuesdays at The Shed, brings people together every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Recently, participants gathered around tables, picking up supplies and fabric to create hearts for the IFAQH project. 14 | A SHAW MEDIA PUBLICATION | HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROFESSIONAL DIRECTORY 2026

HOSPICE NURSES PROVIDE CARE DURING SOME OF LIFE’S TOUGHEST MOMENTS Coping with terminal illness can be challenging, even for those people with immense support systems behind them. At some point in one’s care plan, it may be recommended to transition from actively treating or trying to cure a condition to making the person more comfortable. This is when hospice steps in. Generally speaking, hospice is reserved for people who expect to die from an illness within the next six months. Hospice care can take place in a health care setting or in a person’s private home. Hospice nurses are vital parts of a hospice care team. These people care for those who have opted for hospice at the ends of their lives and fulfill the hospice philosophy of comfort and quality based on each person’s unique needs. According to Samaritan Life-Enhancing Care, a hospice nurse serves many purposes. A hospice nurse discusses and explains the patient’s prognosis, and performs assessments and reviews medical histories. The nurse will administer medication for pain and monitor conditions and additional needs. Hospice nurses work to support the family and advocate for care according to the patient’s wishes. They

also can answer questions and address concerns, serving as sounding boards in difficult situations. Hospice nurses also provide emotional support and can facilitate spiritual support. Nurses also may be present at the time of death if asked. Hospice nurses also may help coordinate counseling for surviving family members who are experiencing grief. Hospice nurses may be classified as intake admissions, case managers, visit nurses, and triage nurses. One or more hospice nurses will be involved with patient care over the course of treatment. Most hospice care providers are Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing Assistants or Certified Hospice and Palliative Licensed Nurses. It is important for people considering hospice care nursing to determine the certification and coursework necessary for a career in the field. Families seeking hospice care needs should work with certified individuals. It takes a compassionate person to work in hospice care. These invaluable individuals step in to offer assistance during trying times for individuals and their families.

Understanding TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)

A Non-Invasive Option for Depression Have you or a loved one struggled with depression that hasn’t improved with medication or therapy? Depression is caused by reduced activity in the areas of the brain that regulate mood. NeuroStar TMS “wakes up” those areas with focused magnetic pulses to help the brain function how it should. You may have heard of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). But what exactly is it, and how does it help?

What Is TMS?

TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a non-invasive treatment that uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. These pulses can “wake up” underactive brain regions, helping to improve symptoms—especially in depression. It is not a drug, “shock” therapy, or surgery. It is a safe, effective treatment for depression without the common side effects of medication. • No surgery • No anesthesia • You’re awake and alert during treatment

Who Can Benefit from TMS?

TMS is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression, meaning depression that hasn’t improved after trying medications or therapy. It’s also being used for: • Depression with anxiety • OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) • Adolescents (15-21) depression TMS is ideal for people who’ve had limited success with antidepressants or experienced side effects.

What Is a Typical TMS Session Like? • You sit in a comfortable chair.

• A cushioned coil is precisely placed against your head while magnetic pulses deliver the therapy to the correct location that regulates mood in your brain. • You may feel a tapping, tingling, or warming sensation where the coil is positioned. This is temporary and typically subsides with subsequent treatments.

• A study of real-world outcomes reported an 83% response rate which means patients experienced notable relief, and a 62% remission rate which means their depression effectively went away. • Some start to see improvement in a few weeks, others take longer. Improvements can include changes in mood, fewer days of depression, and increased desire to engage with other people more often. In fact, your friends and family may notice your results before you do! • Completing the full treatment course gives the best chance for delivering long-lasting relief from depression.

Are There Side Effects?

TMS is well tolerated. Possible side effects include: • Mild scalp discomfort or headaches • Facial muscle twitching during the session • Fatigue or lightheadedness Serious side effects are rare, but there is a very small risk of seizure (less than 0.1%).

Is TMS Right for You?

TMS represents hope for many people struggling with depression or other difficult-to-treat conditions. If you or someone you care about has not found relief with traditional treatments, talking with a mental health professional about TMS could open new possibilities. As research continues, TMS may become an option for even more people and conditions in the future. Always consult with a qualified provider to discuss risks, benefits, and whether TMS is the right fit for your individual needs. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to Path to Healing, who can guide you further. Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, and exploring all your options is an important step toward better mental health. You may be a good candidate if: • You’ve tried 2 or more medications for depression with little relief. • You’ve had side effects from medications. • You want a non-drug option that doesn’t require anesthesia. • You can attend daily sessions for several weeks. A provider will do a full evaluation to make sure it’s a safe option.

• Each session lasts 20–40 minutes. • Most people have daily sessions, 5 days per week for 4–6 weeks. • No recovery time needed — you can drive yourself home.

How Effective Is TMS?

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES KIDS CAN ENGAGE WITH EACH DAY

Modern children are not getting enough daily physical activity. So says a 2024 report from the Physical Activity Alliance, a coalition that works to promote regular participation in physical activity. Researchers behind the report utilized data from the National Survey of Children’s Health and National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data, which showed that just 20 percent of children between the ages of six and 17 meet the daily physical activity minimum of 60 minutes recommended by the U.S. Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. That four in five children are not getting enough physical activity each day is a red flag for parents. A 2023 study published in the journal Children noted that children who engage in sedentary behaviors are at increased risk for an assortment of negative health outcomes that include obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and poor mental health. Parents can help kids reduce their risk by encouraging daily physical activity, which can be incorporated into youngsters’ lives in various ways. • Walking: Walking is an accessible physical activity that children can embrace throughout the day. In lieu of driving to the bus stop each morning, parents can walk their children there and even arrive a little early so kids get a chance to run around with their friends before the bus arrives. Parents also

can incorporate walks into their nightly routines by taking a post-dinner stroll around the neighborhood. • Dancing: Dancing is another great physical activity that children, especially those in elementary school, tend to love. The National Institutes of Health note that dancing can improve mood, promote hearth health, help to build strong muscles and bones, and create better balance and coordination, among other benefits. Parents concerned that kids aren’t getting enough physical activity can host routine dance parties at home to get kids off the couch and up and moving. Let kids choose the music so they’re more enthusiastic about cutting a rug. • Outdoor activities: Organized sports is not the only way for kids to be physically active. Kids who don’t enjoy sports can still get lots of exercise each day. Parents can introduce youngsters to outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking and cycling to ensure they aren’t spending all of their free time sitting around. Come wintertime, if the air outside is too chilly, consider taking youngsters to a local indoor swim club or an indoor rock climbing facility, many of which have programs for climbers as young as five. Many modern kids aren’t getting enough physical activity each day. Parents can remedy that by incorporating any number of fun physical activities into kids’ daily routines.

BUILDING ON THE FOUNDATION: A NEW PILLAR OF HEALTH & WELLNESS AT 7:24 FITNESS ON THE ROCK

When 7:24 Fitness on the Rock opened its doors, our mission was never simply to give people a place to exercise. We wanted to create a place where people could improve their health, feel better, get stronger, and ultimately live a better life.

For years, we have focused on three important pillars: Fitness. Nutrition. Accountability. We believe exercise is essential, but we also know that what you do outside of the gym matters just as much. Proper nutrition helps fuel the body. Accountability helps turn good intentions into consistent habits. Together, these pillars have allowed us to help people of all ages and fitness levels work toward meaningful, sustainable results. But there was another piece of the health and wellness puzzle we wanted to address: Recovery. That is why we have expanded the 7:24 Fitness approach with a fourth pillar, Recovery, and introduced whole-body red light therapy with our new Prism Light Pod. Why Recovery Matters Our bodies are constantly being challenged. Exercise, work, stress, lack of sleep, aging, and the demands of everyday life can all affect how we feel and perform. While we often focus on doing more to improve our health, recovery is about giving the body the support it needs to adapt, repair, and continue performing at its best. Red light therapy has become an increasingly popular recovery and wellness tool because it uses specific wavelengths of red and nearinfrared light to penetrate the body’s tissues and interact with our cells. One of the primary areas of interest is the mitochondria, the

structures inside our cells responsible for producing energy. By supporting cellular energy production, photobiomodulation, commonly known as red light therapy, is being studied and used for a variety of wellness and recovery applications. Depending on the individual and their goals, red light therapy may help support: • Muscle recovery and physical performance • Temporary relief from minor muscle and joint discomfort • Healthy circulation • Skin health and rejuvenation • Cellular energy and mitochondrial function • Overall recovery and wellness Not All Red Light Therapy Is the Same When we decided to add red light therapy to 7:24 Fitness, we didn’t simply want to add a few red light panels and call it a recovery service. We wanted to invest in technology that would complement the level of care we strive to provide our members and community. That led us to the Prism Light Pod, an award-winning, wholebody red and near-infrared light therapy system designed to deliver therapeutic light across the body at once. Rather than relying on a small panel that treats only a limited area, the Light Pod surrounds the body with light, providing a convenient whole-body experience. It also offers six specialized programs designed around different wellness goals: Recovery • Performance • Weight Loss Anti-Aging • Pain • Wellness This allows us to help each person choose a program based on what they are hoping to accomplish instead of taking a one-size-fits-all

approach. Fitness Is Only One Piece of Your Health At 7:24 Fitness, we still believe strongly in the power of exercise. Strength training, cardiovascular fitness, mobility, and simply moving your body consistently can have a tremendous impact on your quality of life. But health doesn’t begin and end with a workout. It’s why our vision continues to grow. Fitness gives your body a reason to adapt. Nutrition gives it the building blocks it needs. Accountability creates consistency. Recovery helps prepare you to do it all again. Together, these four pillars create the foundation of what we believe health and wellness should look like. And you don’t have to be an athlete, or even a member of our gym, to benefit from focusing on recovery. Whether you’re looking to recover from workouts, stay active as you age, support your overall wellness, or you’re simply curious about red light therapy, we’d love to help you learn more. Curious About Red Light Therapy? We invite you to schedule a FREE Red Light Therapy Consultation at 7:24 Fitness on the Rock. We’ll talk about your goals, explain how our Prism Light Pod works, walk you through the different programs, and help determine whether red light therapy may be a good addition to your wellness routine. Contact 7:24 Fitness on the Rock at 815-564-9000 today to schedule your FREE consultation.
