To celebrate, the Lee County Council on Aging (LCCOA) is inviting all interested seniors to join a spring planning meeting at 2 p.m., immediately following chair yoga. This meeting is an opportunity for seniors to share their ideas and help shape the educational programming for the year ahead. New
accessible flooring installed
Big changes have arrived at LCCOA, thanks to funding from the Do It Best Foundation and installation by McKenna’s Flooring. The long-awaited accessible flooring is now complete, making the Center safer and more welcoming. Visitors can now ride the elevator for their AARP tax appointment on Tuesdays or enjoy a game of pool or cards in the activity room on a sturdy, updated surface.

Health and wellness at LCCOA
LCCOA offers several health and wellness opportunities to help seniors stay active and healthy:
• Fancy Feet foot care — Available March 25. Call Miss Debbie at 815213-0324 to schedule an appointment.
• Blood pressure checks — Offered twice a month — the first Monday before chair yoga and the third Tuesday during fresh food distribution.
• Exercise and movement — Participate in Workout Wednesday (first Wednesday of the month), line dancing (third Wednesday), exercise bikes (Mondays and Fridays), and chair yoga (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Community breakfast and bingo

Golden Meals
Golden Meals is a local non-profit organization that provides meals for $3.25 to our 60-plus senior community and $6.25 for our 59-and-younger community, Monday through Thursday at our site. Please watch the menu calendar as they will be providing meals on select Fridays. The Golden Meals calendar will be posted on our Facebook page and sent out in our monthly member’s newsletter. Thank you to everyone who has been coming for lunch! The turnouts have been great, and the food is always super yummy!!

Nutritional programs
LCCOA continues to provide nutritious meals and fresh produce to the community:
• Lifescape lunches are served Monday through Friday from noon to 12:30 p.m. The suggested donation is $3 per meal, but no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Call by 10:45 a.m. the day before to reserve a meal.
• OSF take-home meal, 3:30-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Fresh produce is available every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
