GOLDEN ECHO: WCSC From the LCCOA Executive Director By Susie Welch Volunteers: The heart of LCCOA November is a wonderful time to pause and reflect on all we have to be thankful for. At the Lee County Council on Aging, one of our greatest blessings is our amazing volunteers. Simply put, we could not do what we do without the dedication, kindness, and generosity of our volunteers. Our volunteers are the heart of our Center. Every Tuesday, our faithful food pantry volunteers are here to bring in fresh fruits and vegetables, help unload and organize the items, and make sure they are ready for our seniors to enjoy. Our front desk is staffed by volunteers who greet every-

From the WCSC Executive Director By Emily Hammer Board meeting We would like to thank everyone on our Board of Directors! All of the members on our board are volunteers who take time out of their busy schedules to help better our Senior Center. The next Board meeting will be on

one with a smile, answer questions, and help make our center a welcoming place. Many of the things that happen at LCCOA are possible because of volunteers. Our trips are supported by volunteers who help make these experiences enjoyable and memorable. Many of our administrative duties are volunteer-led, providing valuable support behind the scenes. Our games and activities are also made possible because of volunteers — whether they are senior-led or sponsor-led, these programs bring fun, friendship, and connection to our Center. People often say it takes a village to raise a child. I believe it also takes a village to care for our seniors. Every volunteer who gives their time, talents, and compassion helps us continue our mission of serving older adults in Lee County. Thank you for all you do — you truly make a difference! If you have ever thought about volunteering, we would love to have you join our family. Whether you can help

once a month or several times a week, many hands make the tasks easier, and there is a place for everyone at LCCOA.
