Married June 14, 2014 Deer Valley Golf Club Rachel Donnelly and Austin Krone exchanged wedding vows June 14, 2014, at Deer Valley Golf Club. Pastor Judi Huseth officiated the ceremony. Rachel is the daughter of Mike and Debbie Donnelly of Rock Falls. Austin is the son of Mary Kay Hernandez of Sterling and Dennis Krone of Rock Falls. Serving as maid of honor was Stephanie Hammell, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were HeLe Babin and Emily Minor, both friends of the bride, and Bernessa McQueen, sister of the groom.
Serving as best men were Nick Dietz, Matt Miller, and Robbie Minor, friends of the groom. The groomsmen were Marquise Cody, friend of the groom, and Michael Krone, brother of the groom. Ushering the event were Michael Donnelly, brother of the bride, and Brent McQueen, brother-in-law of the groom. Ms. Linda VonHolten provided vocals. The reception also was at the golf club. Ehredt & Leuschke Jim and Marilyn Henry of Sterling announce the engagement of their daughter, Madison, to Carl Monk, the son of Colin and Katy Monk of Morris. The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Sterling High School and a 2013 graduate of North Central College. In June, she will graduate from Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine and Science, with a master’s degree in physicians assistant studies. Her fiancé is a 2009 graduate of Morris High School and a 2013 graduate of North Central College. In May, Carl will graduate with a master’s degree in history from the University of WisconsinMilwaukee. Carl will continue his education to pursue a doctorate degree in American intellectual history. Beverly Anderson Breed was born Dec. 31, 1924, in Moorhead, Minnesota. At the age of 7, she came to Sterling to live with her aunt and uncle. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1942, and married Royal Breed Oct. 11 of the same year. After working at the YWCA, Sterling Chamber, and Sauk Valley College bookstore, Beverly joined
her husband in starting Royal Steel Ball Products. She’s also been very active at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sterling. As a special way to preserve these memorable occasions, quarter-, halfor full-page announcements can be purchased. Paid announcements are determined by word count: no more than 125 words for a quarter page, no more than 250 words for a half page, and up to 340 words for a full page. Those paying for announcements will have the opportunity to proof them before publication. Customers will be called when the announcement is ready to be proofed.
