Katie Searing and Adam Gierhart were married June 28, 2014, in Peoria.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Debbie Searing of Sterling.

The groom is the son of Paul and Susan Gierhart of Rock Falls.

The Matron of Honor was Chandra Meyer, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Miranda Sproch, friend of the bride; Melissa Searing, sister-in-law of the bride; Alesha Gierhart, sister-inlaw of the groom; and Allie Furr, cousin of the groom. The junior bridesmaid

was Lily Searing, niece of the bride.

The best man was Seth Gierhart, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Aaron Gierhart, brother of the groom; Tyler Joel, cousin of the groom, Cullen Searing, brother of the bride; and Drew Ogden, friend of the groom.

The flower girl was Audrey Searing, and the ring bearer was Jack Searing, niece and nephew of the bride.

The ceremony and reception were held at The Waterhouse in Peoria.

The bride is a graduate of Sterling

High School and North Central College. She is employed by the Galesburg School District as a sixth-grade teacher.

The groom is a graduate of Newman Central Catholic High School and North Central College. He is a web and graphic designer for Illinois Mutual Life Insurance Co. After honeymooning in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Peoria.
