We are proud to welcome the public to the 42nd annual Lakeside Festival! Fest runs from Thursday, June 30th to Sunday, July 3rd.

2022 is an extra special year as we simultaneously celebrate our 20th year as a charitable foundation and the 100th year since Eliza ‘Lou’ Ringling purchased the mansion for use as the first Crystal Lake Country Club! This time-honored Independence Day weekend event that is beloved by many, Lakeside Fest is the largest festival in McHenry County and the most significant Cornerstone Fundraising event for The Dole. The funds raised by the Fest help support Lakeside Legacy Foundation’s mission to ensure the preservation and protection of the historic building and 12-acres of beautiful greenspace for community enjoyment.

The Fest is for the community and is made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers expertly run by Ron Russell and Chip Whitman and made possible by the incredible Fest sponsors! We are forever grateful to the amazing volunteers, as well as The Dole staff, for ensuring a safe, smooth-running, and entertaining event at The Dole!

7:30pm on the Pabst Main Stage Hi Infidelity is a cover band from the Chicago area, playing music of all types, but mostly 80s Rock like Journey, REO, Bon Jovi and Boston to name a few. The band has been voted Best Cover Band over the years in local fan polls! Going to a Hi Infidelity show is a total concert experience from start to finish, with a wide variety of songs. Not only do they cover the classics but are currently playing some new music, too.

4:15pm on the Pabst Main Stage 7th heaven is an experience you just have to see and hear! 7th heaven has charted #1 on the Midwest Billboard Charts three times. The band has been heard on over 7 radio stations in Chicagoland with their hits: “Beautiful Life”, “This Is Where The Party’s At”, Stoplight”, “Better This Way” and “Sing.”

Also known for the famous “30 Songs in 30 Minutes” medley of songs from the 70’s and 80’s, 7th heaven has been an entertainment staple for 37 years. Playing around 200

shows a year, with an average of 100 outdoor events, 7th heaven has earned the right to say ... “We’ve seen a million faces and rocked them all!”

MacKenzie O’Brien

2:00pm on the Northwest Herald Stage The Mackenzie O’Brien Band was launched in 2019 as Mackenzie began to perform in larger venues and in festivals with larger crowds. Jeremy Witz (Jerry Wyld) (Lead Guitar) had already played over 100 shows with her at that time. Chicago Drummer, Dean Sinclair (Deanie Boy) was soon added on drums and Scott Gauger (Scottie G) joined the band a year later as the full time bassist and back up vocalist. ​ The band has been recognized as one of Chicago’s best Country Bands and one of the only that can flip and play all original music. To date, the band has played at county fairs, festivals in several states (including Country Thunder 2021 and 2022), and the band has opened for numerous country stars!

With over a thousand shows for all these years, every weekend, MDR has remained a top drawing party band with impressive numbers in any venue or festival and entertaining many at weddings and corporate events.

Dear Lakeside Visitor: Happy Independence Day!

On behalf of the Crystal Lake Business community, welcome to the amazing Lakeside Festivities, the Independence Day Parade and Fireworks to celebrate the greatest weekend of the summer! Presented by the Crystal Lake Chamber, and brought to you by the City of Crystal Lake, the Crystal Lake Lions Club and the Crystal Lake Park District, we invite you to the 2022 Independence Day Parade Celebration on July 3rd starting at 1 p.m.

The Independence Day Parade begins at the Crystal Lake City Hall (Woodstock Street and Dole Avenue) and proceeds down Dole Avenue to end at Lakeside Arts Park where you can eat and drink from the many local food vendors while listening to the many musical groups performing at the Lakeside Festival.

It takes a group effort to make the spectacular weekend of events a success. The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce is proud to be an ongoing part of bringing all the best our community has to offer in celebra-

tion. It is with the commitment of local businesses and business leaders that come together to sponsor and volunteer their time and talent to bring you an Independence Day Parade that is the envy of many surrounding communities. Come join the fun! Be a part of this tradition which is one of the many ways Crystal Lake is “a good place to live”.
