Shaw Media Family Owners Reunion Shaw Media family owners, company directors, officers and distinguished guests met at the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI for a reunion August 4-7, 2016.

Celebrating Janet Loring The matriarch of the Shaw family, Janet Loring was the youngest of Mabel’s grandchildren when the trust was set up. Her late husband, Bill, served on the board of directors from 1971 through 1999 and her son, Doug, currently serves. Although Janet grew up in Dixon, she spent most of her adult life – and raised an amazing family – in Colorado. However, through good times and not, she has been and continues to be an advocate for the continuation of the company under family trust ownership, for the well-being of the company’s employees, for the advancement of family members in business leadership, and for the hope of healthy relationships within the family. Rooted in a strong Christian faith, these are matters of prayer for her. We applaud Janet for her faithful support of the company and family.

Surfing in “Shaw”boygan

The surfing contest was a big hit. Many showed their skills, and in the end, Peter Shaw awarded medals to the winners as follows: Kate Dalton, First Place Dylan Collins, Second Place Jack Shaw, Third Place After commenting about a few wardrobe malfunctions that occurred during the challenge, Linda Hanson awarded special prizes to Laurel Kelly and Gwynneth Hogle.

A special thank you to the judges: Janet Loring, Linda Hanson, Ellabeth Collins, Pierce Shaw, and Tom Shaw.
