A lone pelican stands on a log in the Rock River across from the entrance to the Prophetstown State Recreation Area in Prophetstown on Sarturday. The white pelicans are migrating back to their northern breeding grounds and can frequently be seen along the Rock River and Mississippi River during their migration.
