SHOP HOP Sarah Ford/For Shaw Media
Heather Hermes, left, and her daughter Bailey Burling, both of Prophetstown, browse for gems at Grama’s Healing Porch, 314 Washington St. on March 5 as part of the Vintage Shop Hop weekend. Over 500 locally-owned shops in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin were listed on the shopping map, including the Prophetstown holistic and metaphysical store. Owner Karla Wetzell had specials for the weekend sale, which brought many new and returning shoppers to the downtown.
