A free customer appreciation cookout was held at Hometown Hardware, 317 Washington St. on Friday, June 24, during the Prophetstown Proud Fourth Friday festivities. Keith Crady, who purchased the business three years ago, said the cookout was the first of its kind since he took ownership. Shaw’s MarketPlace of Prophetstown supplied the grill and the meats, with Ryan Hatheway, left,his dad Bob Hatheway and his wife Abby Hatheway pictured with Crady on Friday evening.
