Pearl City senior Jason LaBudde takes the razor to Josh Robbins, PC Jr./ Sr. High School history teacher. Robbins promised to give students one opportunity to shave a portion of his head and beard for a book donation as motivation for the collection of children’s books to donate to the Amy Beverland Elementary School in Indiana, as a memorial to Susan Jordan, beloved elementary school principal for over 20 years. Jordan gave her life on Jan. 26, saving two students from getting hit by a school bus that had jumped the curb at the school. In lieu of flowers for a memorial, people were asked to send children’s books to the school for its library. Robbins’ class completed this assignment as a civil service project.
