Owen curls up next to Pam Shore in the kitchen of his adoptive mom, Cheryl Galor. Shore, Galor and Ashley Rinehart founded Project Humane Polo in August 2020 to help reduce the city’s community cat population using a trap-neuter-vaccinate-return system. Owen was one of the adoptable community cats. When he was trapped, he had a broken tail which had become infected with maggots. He was neutered, vaccinated and had to have part of his tail amputated.
