Day of the dragonfly
This dragonfly, photographed sunning itself at the Dixon Waterfowl Refuge, was surely appreciative of the warmth following the several wet days of near continuous rain last week. The pleasant weather is predicted to continue this week with plenty of sun and high temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the low 80s and nighttime lows in the 50s. It was also announced this week the annual seed harvest at the refuge will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 6. Visit www.wetlands-initiative.org for more information. (PCR photo/Dave Cook)
