Angelo Weyer
A ‘willingness to help other people’
Marquette teen is a standout ANNETTE BARR For The Times Walking past the basketball court, benches and bike rack at Thornton Park in Ottawa, a look of satisfaction plays across Angelo Weyer’s face. “I was really satisfied with how everybody worked together. I was really proud of the results,” Weyer, a Marquette High School senior, said regarding the service project he lead at the park while pursuing the rank of Eagle Scout a couple of years ago. Weyer’s drive for excellence has become noticed by several people, including Tom Ditchfield, Scout master of Troop 744, who has been working with Angelo for nearly six years through scouting.
