An exhilarating season of Formula One continues this weekend as drivers get set to take on the narrow streets of Monaco. The 2025 Monaco Grand Prix takes place Sunday, May 25, on ESPN.
For once, the 2025 F1 season hasn’t been completely dominated by Red Bull, and despite the highs and lows to start the year, reigning four-time world champion Max Verstappen has still managed to put in strong performances. His most recent victory came at the Japanese Grand Prix, where he continued to showcase his talent and determination to continue performing at a high level as he chases his fifth world championship.
While Verstappen has managed to keep himself in the top three of the Driver Championship, he will face fierce competition at the top of the pack, as he has all season long, with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri leading all drivers after earning him and his team four wins in their first six races, with teammate Lando Norris following closely behind in second place.
As the Monaco Grand Prix approaches, Verstappen will need to rely heavily on his ex-
perience. With the Circuit de Monaco known for its narrow streets, tight corners and limited ability to overtake, it places an even greater focus on qualifying performance and strategy setup — something Red Bull and Verstappen have had a very good grip on all season, extracting every little bit out of his ride.
Fans won’t want to miss any of the action as the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix airs Sunday, May 25, on the streets of Monaco as the race for the 2025 F1 Driver Championship continues.

There is something about a ragtag group of friends that the television industry just loves to latch on to. From “Three’s Company” in 1977 to “Seinfeld” in ‘89, “Friends” in ‘94 and “How I Met Your Mother” in 2005, proof that the ensemble comedy is alive and well rests in the DNA of shows such as HBO’s “Girls” and Netflix’s new Tina Fey (“Saturday Night Live”) dramedy, “The Four Seasons,” which premiered May 1.
Joining the ranks of these predecessors and various other contemporaries is FX’s series “Adults,” premiering with two episodes Wednesday, May 28, on the broadcast network and the next day on Hulu.
Created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, both of whom got their start as writers for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Adults” follows a group of 20-somethings in New York City who get a real taste of adulthood while staying at a friend’s childhood home while his parents are away on an RV trip across the United States.
The friend in question, Samir (Malik Elassal, “Joe Pickett”), has taken on the role of “de facto man of the house,” per the FX-released press materials, and is responsible for taking care of the home in his parents’ absence despite the fact that he can barely take care of himself. Described as “struggling to launch,” Samir is growing into a fine young man but still struggles to understand the complexities of his parents’ boiler and the importance of separating laundry.
Growing up, Samir had his parents to rely on, but he also had Billie (Lucy Freyer, “Paint,” 2023). His childhood best friend,
Billie was quick to mature and often found herself in control of matters, regardless of the situation. But after a poor choice at work that ended with her “vaguely threaten[ing] her boss,” says FX, Billie is back at square one: questioning her choices and mulling over her previously decided-upon path in life.
Joining Samir and Billie in their quests to be kind and functioning members of society are fellow burgeoning adults Issa (Amita Rao, “Deli Boys”), Anton (Owen Thiele, “Dollface”) and the always fullnamed Paul Baker (Jack Innanen, “The Office Movers”).
Issa, who has been prone to collecting odd jobs as she learns which passion she wants to channel her energy into, is currently teaching a children’s dance class. Ever the driven activist type, Issa is described by FX as someone who “loves her friends hard but struggles to feel heard.”
Paul Baker is known by both names despite the fact that he is the only Paul in their immediate friend group. Why? Well, some people just suit their full name better — like “Colin Robinson” of FX’s vampire series “What We Do in the Shadows,” for instance). A kind Canadian who moved to New York City to leave his imprint on the city — or maybe to have the city leave its imprint on him — Paul Baker is happy to have finally found a friend group that suits his personality and his lifestyle.
Last but not least in the group is Anton, “the only member of the friend group with a real job, even though he doesn’t quite understand what it is” (per FX). Despite initially only having ties to Samir, his college roommate, Anton has developed a close,
fairly boundaryless relationship with all four of the others. Although the connection is genuine, intense friendships are par for the course with Anton and his oozing charisma.
The series comes from Kronengold and Shaw, who have worked as a duo ever since their viral 2018 joint Yale graduation speech in front of public figure and honored guest Hillary Clinton. Their unbeat-
able chemistry, impeccable comedic timing and their own recent lived experiences with “adulting” show through the fiber of the new FX series.
“We’re so grateful to be telling this story about a group of friends navigating the hardest, horniest time of life together,” Kronengold and Shaw said in a joint statement after “Adults” was picked up by FX.

Q: With Josh Duhamel doing series work again in “Ransom Canyon,” I know he was on “Las Vegas,” but has he done any other continuing TV roles?
A: The actor first made a name for himself in weekday serials, winning a Daytime Emmy Award in 2002 for playing Leo du Pres on ABC’s “All My Children.” He was partnered primarily on that show with Rebecca Budig, who portrayed Greenlee Smythe. He also ended his three-year run on the program in 2002, to explore options he might have in primetime TV.
It didn’t take long for him to land the part of casino security chief (and later president of operations) Danny McCoy on NBC’s “Las Vegas,” a role he kept for the full five-season run of the drama (2003-08). Much also was made of Danny’s background as a veteran of the U.S. Marines, with some memorable episodes finding him trying to help other soldiers in various ways. Duhamel also played Danny in several crossover stories on another NBC show of the time, “Crossing Jordan.”
Also serving as narrator of the 2011-12 G4 documentary program “Bomb Patrol Afghanistan,” Duhamel lent his voice to such animated series as “The Replacements” (Disney Channel, 2008-09), “Fanboy & Chum Chum” (Nickelodeon, 2009-14) and “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” (Disney Junior, 2011-16). His next major TV acting role was in CBS’s “Battle Creek” (2015), which cast him in the part of an FBI special agent based in the title Michigan city.
Duhamel then appeared in Hulu’s Stephen King-based limited series “11.22.63” in 2016, then played a police detective investigating the title crimes in “Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.” on USA Network in 2018. Netflix – where Duhamel now appears in “Ransom Canyon” — was his next series-regular stop in the 2021 fantasy “Jupiter’s Legacy,” then he co-starred in NBC’s “The Thing About Pam” in 2022.

Q: I love the new show “Shifting Gears.” I can’t figure out where I know Gabe from, but I know I recognize that goofy smile. What else has be been in?
A: There’s an alternate universe that split off somewhere in the mid-’00s where you would never be asking that question. Because Seann William Scott, who plays Gabe on the new ABC sitcom “Shifting Gears,” would be too famous.
Scott seemed poised for movie stardom back then, having broken out as Stifler in “American Pie” (1999) and
its sequels. He also co-starred in some other era-defining hits, such as the teen horror “Final Destination” (2000) and the comedy “Dude, Where’s My Car” (2000).
The studios started building projects around him, such as the martial arts action flick “Bulletproof Monk” (2003) and a big-screen adaptation of the classic series “The Dukes of Hazzard” (2005). But these starring vehicles didn’t pan out the way the studios expected, so Scott started transitioning back to smaller, supporting roles. That also means doing more TV — something he shied away from in his

heyday. But in more recent years, he was brought in to add some star power to the third season of the “Lethal Weapon” series, which was on the cusp of cancelation. And now he has “Shifting Gears,” a pretty straightforward sitcom starring Tim Allen (“Home Improvement”) and Kat Dennings (“2 Broke Girls”).
Scott still moonlights with film, though. He has two new indie films currently in post-production, awaiting distribution: “Bad Man,” an action comedy about a state police officer who butts heads with a small-town deputy, and the horror film “Dolly.”

Q: What ever happened to the actress who played Astrid on “Fringe”? I’ve seen the other stars around since, but not her.
A: The devoted fanbase of sci-fi show “Fringe,” which aired on Fox from 2008 to 2013, had a hard time when the show was canceled. But they’ve been comforted to see the stars in other stuff since.
Stars such as Joshua Jackson (now on the hit series “Doctor Odyssey”) and Anna Torv (now on “The Last Of Us”) have been easy to follow — not so much for Jasika Nicole.
Nicole played Astrid on “Fringe,” one of the show’s four stars. But she’s had a bit more trouble finding equally juicy roles since.
She mostly pops up as a recurring star these days, but on some pretty major shows.
For example, she had an ongoing engagement as Kim Munoz on “Scandal” between 2013 and 2016. More recently, she was promoted from occasional guest to series costar for the third season of ABC’s “The Good Doctor,” playing Dr. Carly Lever.
But it’s worth noting that acting isn’t the only iron Nicole has in the fire (and she might even appreciate that old-timey domestic arts metaphor). She has branded her official site, jasika.com, as her “digital craft room,” showcasing her various sewing, knitting and upholstering projects, and more — she briefly mentions the fact that she also has “a successful career in television, film, audio and theater,” but that’s about all the space she gives to her screen work.

Where are we? That’s the question at the heart of the thrilling new competition series “Destination X,” coming Tuesday, May 27, to NBC with “The Walking Dead” actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan serving as the show’s host and executive producer.
Get ready for the ultimate travel mystery with “Destination X,” inspired by the award-winning Belgian series “Bestemming X.” In this exciting new iteration, Europe transforms into a giant, real-life gameboard as a group of 12 strangers board a blackedout bus that journeys off across the continent. But, there’s a twist: they have no idea where they are going.
“This series is the ultimate high-stakes guessing game, inviting viewers to embark on a thrilling journey across Europe’s most iconic landscapes and landmarks, all while playing along with our adventurous, dynamic cast,” Sharon Vuong, NBC’s head of unscripted programming, said in a statement.
With Morgan serving as the show’s host — a first in the actor’s career — he leads the contestants to a mysterious location where they must rely on their strategy, intuition and sharp eye for detail. In each episode, contestants step off the bus to compete in location-themed challenges designed to offer subtle clues — or cunning misdirects — about their whereabouts. Contestants must draw on their knowledge of culture, history and geography to uncover hints about their location and earn an all-important advantage.
The 12-player cast includes Biggy Bailey, Ally Bross, Kim Conner, Shayne Cureton,
BY KIMBERLY
Josh Martinez (“The Challenge: USA”) and Peter Weber (“The Bachelor,” “The Traitors”), who join the journey to shake things up.
At the end of each episode, the stakes increase in the Map Room ceremony, where contestants must place an “X” on a giant map guessing their location. The contestant whose guess is farthest from their location is eliminated. The last person standing will meet Morgan at the ultimate Destination X and walk away with a grand prize of $250,000.
“Destination X” is executive produced by Andy Cadman (“Love Island”), Emanuel Vanderjeugd (“Snackmasters”), Dan Adamson (“Big Zuu’s 12 Dishes in 12 Hours”), David Clews (“The Real Marigold Hotel”) and Shireen Abbott (“Happy Campers: The Caravan Park”).
Do you think you can figure out “where the X are we?” No matter your answer, tune in Tuesday, May 27, when the new competition series “Destination X” premieres on NBC.

To be truly independent, your personal emergency device needs to work on the go.
MobileHelp® allows you to summon emergency help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by simply pressing your personal help button. Unlike traditional systems that only work inside your home, a MobileHelp medical alert system extends help beyond the home. Now you can participate in all your favorite activities such as gardening, taking walks, shopping and traveling all with the peace of mind of having a personal alert system with you. MobileHelp, the “on-the-go” help button, is powered by one of the nation’s largest cellular networks, so there’s virtually no limit to your help button’s range.
No landline? No problem! While traditional alert systems require a landline, with the MobileHelp system, a landline is not necessary. Whether you are home or away from home, a simple press of your help button activates your system, providing the central station with your information and location. Our trained emergency operators will know who you are and where you are located. If you’re one of the millions of people that have waited for an alert service because it didn’t t your lifestyle, or settled for a traditional system even though it only worked in the home, then we welcome you to try MobileHelp. Experience peace of mind in the home or on the go.
