Letter from Board President of The Dole

We are all proud to welcome family, friends, and neighbors to our 45th Annual Lakeside Festival and 4th of July weekend celebration. The Lakeside Festival at The Dole is McHenry County’s longest running annual celebration of family fun, food, fun rides, and great music.

The Lakeside Festival (FEST) is also the largest fundraising event for The Dole. The Dole needs events like FEST and other events hosted at The Dole, which has an operating budget of over $1 million a year and receives no funding from the City of Crystal Lake. We are extremely thankful to have our dedicated volunteer FEST Committee and our many long-standing FEST sponsors to organize and support this great event for us to all enjoy as the community gathering point over the 4th of July weekend.

LETTER FROM CL CHAMBER PRESIDENT

The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and its members wish everyone a wonderful Lakeside Festival and Independence Day Parade. This is an exceptional time of the year for our community as we gather to celebrate with family and friends and give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy.

Our vibrant local business community is a pillar of support for numerous events throughout the year, and the Lakeside Festival is no exception. This year, from Thursday, July 3 through Sunday, July 6, we invite you to join us at The Dole for a weekend filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. The festivities will reach their peak at sundown on Sunday with a breathtaking fireworks display.

As a part of the celebration, the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the City of Crystal Lake and Crystal Lake Lions Club to organize the Independence Day Parade. I am pleased to report that the parade will return to its traditional route this year. It begins at City Hall (100 West Woodstock Street) and ends at South Elementary School (601 Golf Road). It’s a joy to see generations of families lining the streets to view the parade and enjoy this Crystal Lake tradition.

A special thank you to the City of Crystal Lake, Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department, Crystal lake Lions Club, and volunteers who contributed countless hours to make the parade possible.

Please don’t hesitate to stop by the Chamber office at 427 W. Virginia Street for information about our members or the larger community. We have many resources, including area maps, a community guide, and brochures of non-profit agencies and businesses. We’re here to help!
