6:00 PM - 10:00 PM PETERSEN PARK This high-end event is for those with discriminating tastes in whiskey and beer.

WHAT'S INCLUDED? Your $60 ticket includes tastings of high quality whiskey (Bourbon, Scotch, American Whiskey, Single Malts and Rye Whiskey) from over 40 distilleries, unlimited 3 oz. tastes of craft beer from local breweries, commemorative tasting glass, culinary samplings, a lanyard, tasting notebook, and live music from Gerald and Camille.

NOT DRINKING? We also offer a Designated Driver ticket for $15 that includes food sampling and a variety of specialty nonalcoholic beverages. (Must be 21 to attend event, even if purchasing a designated driver ticket.)

RC RACING CARS NEW THIS YEAR! Compete with your friends racing an RC car around the giant 28’L banked oval speedway. Each participant races using a full size steering wheel and shift column. Just like real racing, you get the spectacular crashes, the high-speed spinouts and the bumping and rubbing of real stock car racing. Cost is $5 per round.

YARD GAMES Free family-friendly yard games like cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, and more inside the gate!

Children will enjoy free treats and activities including inflatables, face painting, a dunk tank, games and prizes provided by local businesses. Home Depot will be providing their Kids Build-It workshop. FREE Admission Day!

CAR SHOW

8:30 AM - 2:00 PM The Car Show features muscle cars, street rods, old school hot rods, rat rods, custom, antique, vintage, domestic and imported cars and trucks of all kinds from all manufacturers.

OPEN BEACH 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Bring your suit and swim at Petersen Park Beach!

JULY 10 BANDS 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM Sunday’s show is part of Beach Bash, a free event. No ticket is required, however the park will fill up fast. We suggest you come early if you want to find a spot!

JIMMY NICK Jimmy Nick is an oldfashioned, guitar slinging blues prodigy who spent his teenage years being schooled by legendary bluesmen in the famous Chicago clubs.

FIREWORKS After the last band on Sunday, we’ll light up the sky with an incredible fireworks display. There is no charge to park or at the gate, but there will be limited parking available, so come early!

PINO FARINA Forceful, focused and fun, their live shows are a blend of the sincerity of U2 meets the outrageousness of Foo Fighters.

STUDENT ART SHOW

The Student Art Show is a juried competition for Kindergarten through 12th grade students. Art is displayed in downtown McHenry business windows throughout the month of July.

BIG WHEELS RACE

PARADE MARSHAL CONCERT IN THE PARK AND PARADE MARSHAL CEREMONY JULY 14 5:00 - 9:00 PM VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARK Bring your own lawn chair and enjoy a concert in the park. Food and beer vendors will be available starting at 5:00 pm. A special recognition ceremony for our 2022 Parade Marshal, B.J. MacDonald, takes place at 7:00 pm. A concert by Brass From the Past to follow.

2 0 22 P ARA DE MA RSH AL B J M AC D O N A LD We are proud to announce that BJ MacDonald is our 2022 Parade Marshal. Although not a resident of McHenry, BJ has spent most of her waking hours here serving the community.

In 1984, she accepted a position with McHenry Community High School district as an instructional assistant in charge of the in-school suspension room and after school detention room. She is entering her 39th year at the school.

In the summer of 1985, she started coaching the McHenry Marlins swim team and working as a swim instructor for the McHenry Parks and Recreation Department. She has taught multiple generations of students how to swim and continues to teach private lessons.

MILLER POINT 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM Hosted by MC5 of the McHenry Area Chamber This 4.8-mile kayak event promotes the beauty of downtown McHenry and the Fox River and raises awareness and funds for Kids In Need McHenry County (KIN).

MAIN STREET FUN FAIR MAIN ST. PARKING LOT AND BUSINESSES 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Come to Main Street for FREE activities for kids like face painters, balloon artists, dunk tank, mining for gems, drop-in dance classes, temporary tattoos, and more.

DUCK DERBY

BOONE CREEK AT GREEN ST. 11:30 AM Hosted by McHenry Kiwanis Supports the efforts of McHenry Kiwanis in serving youth in the McHenry area.

Adopt a duck and watch it float down Boone Creek along the Downtown Riverwalk. Only 1000 ducks total. Prizes will be awarded to the 20 ducks who cross the finish line first.

Route: Main Street to Green Street to Pearl Street to Riverside Drive In addition to local businesses, schools, and politicians, the parade will feature the Jesse White Tumblers. A special “candy bag” will be handed out to little ones on the route to collect their goodies from our parade participants!
