Join us Sunday, November 18 from 10 AM - 3 PM at McHenry County College as we kick off the holiday season! The Northwest Herald and Centegra Health System part of Northwestern Medicine brings you the second annual McHenry County Holiday Fest. This event will provide a wide variety of sights, sounds and fun for the entire family. Start your holiday shopping in our marketplace, featuring businesses from across the County and around the area. Kids can drop off their “Letters to Santa” (find a blank letter template on the back of this section) in our mailbox and visit Santa and his elf from 11 AM - 3 PM. Children will also have the opportunity to decorate cookies and make crafts (while supplies last) in the Kid Zone during the day. Face painting will be available at one of our vendor booths, and magician Jacob Barfield will amaze attendees with two shows at 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Our “Fill the Shell” Toy Donation Station presented by Zippy Shell will be open all day accepting new, unwrapped toys for those in need. Stop by the Northwest Herald table when you arrive for a free totebag (while supplies last) and don’t forget to register for a chance to win a weekend getaway! Admission and parking are free. See you this Sunday!
