WhenIwasreadingthepilot, IthoughtitwasexcellentandI reallywantedtodoitandIreallywantedtobethepartofGary(laughs).And Iremembermywife(Elizabeth Tulloch,“Superman&Lois”)wasreadingallof thesescripts(and)cametomelike,“Thisisagreatscript.Therearesomany goodpartsinthis.IthinklikeGarywouldbeawesomeforyoutoplay.”... AndImean,I’msoluckytohavebeengivenapartonthisshow.

ButwhenIwasreadingthepilot,Gary(thecharacterplayedbyJamesRoday Rodriguez)wasreallylikable,Rome(RomanyMalco)wasreallylikableand thentherewasthischaracterEddie,whowasjustfairlydespicablefromthe audience’s pointofview.
