Mark Cuban OF SHARK TANK ON ABC

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in “The Last of Us”

Q: I heard that Mark Cuban is leaving “Shark Tank.” Have he and the other current “sharks” been on the show from the start? A: Cuban has said that he will be staying with the popular ABC series for the rest of the current season and for the one after that, which will bring it to 16 seasons, and then he’ll depart from the panel. The entrepreneur has indicated that he wants to spend more time with his family, which he maintains is more challenging to do as his children get older. Cuban has been a regular on the show since its third year, and he had appeared as a guest in Season 2. Similarly, Lori Greiner was a “Shark Tank” guest in Season 3, then she became a regular in Season 4 and has stayed full-time ever since. Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec and Kevin O’Leary all have been with the program from the beginning, and Kevin Harrington was a regular for the first two seasons. Since its second round, “Shark Tank” has made a habit of bringing in “guest sharks” for temporary stints. That slot has been filled by such notables as Jeff Foxworthy, Steve Tisch, Sara Blakely, Ashton Kutcher, Richard Branson, Bethenny Frankel, Maria Sharapova, Kevin Hart, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jason Blum. As for Cuban, who tellingly appeared as himself on Showtime’s “Billions” toward the end of its run, he has even more changes on the horizon. He recently agreed to sell a major stake in the Dallas Mavericks basketball franchise to the family of the late casino mogul Sheldon Adelson.
