Cora Ley, 5, of Mt. Morris, pets the nose of Brock, a Haflinger horse that resides at the Pegasus therapeutic riding center. Brock came out and greeted guests during the center’s Family Picnic fundraising event July 23. Brock is being held by Kim Paprocki, an instructor at the center. Officials are trying to raise funds to help repair the “hoop” barn, which was heavily damaged during a March wind event. Saturday’s event also included a silent auction, dinner and musical entertainment. More photos on page 8.
