GRUNDY COUNTY GRAND JURY RETURNS MORRIS – Grundy County State’s Attorney Jason Helland, has announced that on Nov. 4, the grand jury has returned the following indictments.

The public is advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty, according to a news release from Helland’s office.

• Jeremy Applebee , 37, of Morris, was indicted in two counts for domestic battery, both Class 4 felonies; and two counts for possession of a firearm without a firearm owner’s identification card, both class 3 felonies.

• Denise Breen, 41, of Braceville, was indicted in two counts for deceptive practices, both Class 4 felonies.

• Jeanette Cummings, 36, of Morris, was indicted for theft, a Class 4 felony.

• Heather Ferrario, 27, of Morris, was indicted for failure to comply with her duty to report as a violent offender against youth, a Class 3 felony.

• Benjamin Hoover, 27, of Meadville, Pennsylvania, was indicted for the unlawful possession of methamphetamine precursors, a Class 2 felony; and for the unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials, a Class 2 felony.

By HEIDI LITCHFIELD hlitchfield@shawmedia.com MORRIS – When a farmer gets into an accident on the farm, the people responding are the same ones who go to an automobile crash.

The training, however, is very different.

“The equipment on a farm is much different than a standard vehicle,” Farmedic instructor Kevin Bernard said Sunday during Day 2 of a farm rescue training held in Morris.

“It’s large equipment, and it requires extra tools.”

Lt. Mike Arellano, of the Troy Fire Protection District, said the information presented during the two-day training was new to him, although he’s served as a firefighter for 16 years.

“I’ve never been exposed to farm equipment, and we still have a lot of farms in our area,” he said. “I feel better about responding with the training we’ve received.”

The last staged crisis of the training involved a “man,” made out of fire hose, trapped beneath a 1945 Farmall H tractor, an antique donated for the exercise.

Using an antique doesn’t affect the training, according to Bernard, who said antique tractors often are still used today, even if it’s just for tractor runs.

Ryan Seggebruch, a firefighter with the Morris Fire Protection and Ambulance District, was the one to tip the antique tractor on its side. His grandfather, Terry Seggebruch, a local farmer, has allowed the Morris fire district to hold trainings annually on the family farm.

“We can’t do this without the Seggebruchs,” Bernard said.

“Not only do they give us their time, but they also let us use their equipment.”

Ryan Seggebruch said much of the district Morris firefighters cover is rural farmland.

“We need to be prepared to respond and help these people,” he said of area farmers. “We need to know how and what safe techniques are.”

are trained.

“Farmers are a big community; if a farmer is injured, they are all injured,” Bernard said.

When responding to a farm accident, he said often other farmers already are on hand and ready to help. They have access to machinery that can be

District 101 board approves tentative tax levy Proposed tax increase related to projected boost in EAV, public hearing scheduled

By MIKE MALLORY mmallory@shawmedia.com MORRIS – The School District 101 Board approved, with a 5-0 vote Monday night, a tentative tax levy for the 2016-17 school year.

The district is asking for an overall 3.75 percent tax increase compared to what it asked for this time last year.

“Asking for 3.75 percent more than what we asked for in last year’s levy is related to the estimated EAV growth,” District 101 Superintendent Pat Halloran said.

There is an anticipated 3.25 percent boost in the 2015 EAV within District 101, according to preliminary data from the Grundy County Tax Assessor’s Office, Halloran said.

The EAV is currently estimated to come in at $413,890,355 – a $24,450,397 increase from the 2014 EAV of $389,439,958.

“You need to make sure you levy enough in each fund, because if you don’t ask for the maximum available amount and the EAV goes up more than you expect, you can’t receive those dollars.”

Pat Halloran District 101 superintendent When preparing the request, Halloran also factored in that the EAV may come in higher than expected and if the district asks for too little, it won’t be able to capture the maximum dollars allotted.

Citing the tax assessor’s

preliminary data, Halloran said the district could see an estimated potential growth of $14 million in residential value, $5 million in commercial value and about $1 million industrial value.

“A lot of things can happen between now and spring (when the EAV is announced), such as tax objections, but that’s what we know right now,” he said.

Based on the tentative re-

quest, rates would have an 6.28 percent increase in most funds – when compared to the actual tax amounts extended to the district last year – and an overall increase of 8.5 percent over what was actually given to the district last year.

The fund with the sharpest potential increase is the life safety fund, where the district was awarded the returns $41,397 on a rate of 0.005 last year. The district is asking for a rate of 0.03, which would bring in an additional $82,770.

The maximum rate is 0.05.

The life safety fund goes toward building and operations projects and fluctuates year to year, according to what the school needs to improve.

For example, the school installed a new heating and cooling system 10 years ago and may need to upgrade the con-

trol system. The district has also discussed much-needed boiler upgrades.

A 6.28 percent increase on the tax rate toward the education fund would add an additional $224,941, but again, it’s unlikely that much will be awarded. Halloran said some districts in the state are taking a more drastic approach than District 101.

“Some districts are being even more aggressive than ours in maximizing potential tax rates with a possible property tax freeze on the horizon,” Halloran said.

At the December District 101 board meeting, there will be a public hearing on the levy before the board votes. Board members Delores Robinson and Thomas Anderson were absent from Monday’s meeting.

Grundy County Board to vote Tuesday on tentative 2015 levy

By HEIDI LITCHFIELD hlitchfield@shawmedia.com MORRIS – Members of the Grundy County Finance Committee voted 6-0 on Monday, with John Galloway absent, to send the tentative 2015 levy to the full board for approval.

The proposed total levy for 2015, which is payable in 2016, is $16.1 million and includes a $1.8 million abatement in bond and interest, according to County Administrator Doug Pryor.

The anticipated levy after the abatement will be $13.77 million, or 4.62 percent higher than the 2014 levy.

The county files tax levies to make sure it captures all available property tax dollars once the equalized assessed value is determined.

He said the county has seen some EAVs bounce back in residential areas, and the increase is despite the loss of EAV in Coal City from the June 22 tornado.

“In the face of significant revenue loss, the county has made a considerable effort to limit the impact in property taxes,” board Chairman David Welter said after the meeting.

There was an increase in transportation costs for county infrastructure, according to Welter, who said the work is being scheduled to capture federal matching grants.

The full board will vote on the levy at its Tuesday meeting.

With 160 juried vendors setting up this weekend at the Grundy County Fairgrounds, organizers Monica Vogel and Traci Tessone have aimed to make certain there is something for everyone on a shopper’s gift list. “When we started off, we weren’t sure what people wanted to buy,” Vogel said.

The market will have many yearly favorites and some new ones. The goal in adding new vendors, Vogel said, is to keep the market exciting.

Austrian painter Ernst Fuchs dies at 85

Fuchs also was a sculptor, stage designer, print maker, composer and poet

By GEORGE JAHN The Associated Press VIENNA – Austrian painter Ernst Fuchs, whose works combined a love of color and texture with clear lines, mysticism and religious themes, died Monday at 85.

Primarily known for his vivid paintings, Fuchs was also an internationally recognized sculptor, stage designer, print maker, composer and poet.

Tillmann Fuchs, the artist’s son, confirmed his father died but did not disclose the cause of death.

Fuchs and other artists – Arik Brauer, Rudolf Hausner, Fritz Janschka, Wolfgang Hutter and Anton Lehmden – founded the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism, which emphasized clarity and details in

a way that some have compared to early Flemish painting, as well as religious and esoteric symbolism.

Influenced in his early life

by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and their contemporaries, Fuchs emphasized texture as well as color in his later works.

He revived the traditional mixed technique, using egg tempera to build volume, and glazing it with oil paints mixed with resin to create a luminous effect.

By the early 1960s, his works reflected his interest in the symbolism of the alchemists and the creations of the mannerists, particularly Jacques Callot.

Baptized as a Catholic during the Nazi era to escape the devastation of the Holocaust, Fuchs increasingly focused on religious symbolism.

After entering the Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem in 1957, he started on his Last Supper, among the most monumental of his paintings, as well as smaller religious-themed works.

Returning to Vienna in 1961, Fuchs wrote on the art of painting and produced a series of prints.

By the mid-1970s he was a sought-after opera stage director and designer, working on productions of Mozart’s Magic Flute and Wagner’s Parsifal and Lohengrin.

Donald R. Haacke, 87, of Dwight,

passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 8, 2015.

Donald was born to Herman and Elsie (Grieff) Haacke on November 14, 1927. He attended Red School near Mazon and later attended Mazon High School.

On May 27, 1950, he married the love of his life, Ida Rae Stutsman at the Zion Evangelical Church in Dwight. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Ida Rae; his children, Richard (MaryLou Weyrich) of St. Louis, MO, Ronald (Carla) Haacke of Clintonville, WI, Linda Tousignant, Randall Haacke, and Roger (Renee) Haacke, all of Dwight.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; a brother,

Leslie Haacke; and a sister, June (Haacke) Wennerstrom.

Don and Ida Rae made their home in Dwight. Don began farming in 1951 on a Scully Farm, in which his farming operation included dairy cattle, pigs and chickens. Don retired in 1993, but enjoyed many hours of assisting on the farm after his retirement.

Don enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, working on the farm, traveling with his wife and many years of Pinochle card club with friends.

Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight. A private family service will occur at a later date with interment at Goodfarm Cemetery.

Like Reents, Scheibe has had a familiar face next to her during her head coaching career. Mary Lou Catalani has been on the Angels’ sideline with her from the start.

“Mary Lou has been great,” Scheibe said. “She made my transition to JCA smooth, and she brings the tradition from before I was here. I have also had Kara Camarda and Kathy Stec on my staff for the past six to eight years and they really know the program and can prepare the girls for varsity.

“I feel that I was lucky coming to JCA that a program had already been somewhat established before I ever came here. My goal was to continue the growth of what had been started and take it to the next level of being downstate all the time.

Now at all of our games, I see not only our lower level players but also the girls from all of the area grade schools who want to be a part of JCA volleyball. I also have parent former players who graduated 10-plus years ago who still come to see us play. In my mind, that is a program.”

They are two of the most successful high school coaches in any sport in the immediate area.

Wilmington football coach Jeff Reents has taken the Wildcats to the playoffs for 20 straight years, including a state championship last season and a second-place finish in 2003. Joliet Catholic Academy volleyball coach Christine Scheibe, meanwhile, has three state titles in her 16 seasons, along with two second-place finishes, one third place and one fourth.

Her teams have won 15 straight regional championships and nine sectional titles in the past 13 years. After beating Morris in the Class 3A Lincoln-Way West Sectional championship Thursday, the Angels beat Chicago De La Salle in the Chicago Christian Supersectional to earn another state berth this season, where they will try to improve on last year’s runner-up finish.

And, they graduated a year apart from Morris Community High School, Scheibe in 1987 and Reents in 1988. Reents’ classmate, Kevin Feeney, also guided Wilmington to two Class A baseball titles in 2003 and 2005 and a thirdplace finish in 2004. Currently on Reents’ staff is MCHS graduate and former Morris assistant coach Andy Peterson.

Reents was fresh out of college when he got the job at Wilmington, so his playing days under the legendary Dan Darlington still were fresh in his mind.

“I got lucky and got to be a head coach right out of college,” he said. “So at that point, I only knew one high school football coach. Fortunately, he was a very good one to learn under, and he was also very helpful and encouraging when I would call him for advice.”

Like many boys in Morris, he became a football fan not because of what he saw on TV, but what he saw in person. And the Redskin Fever that engulfed the town in the late 1970s through the 1990s and beyond made an impact.

Something else Reents has brought from Morris is continuity. Darlington had assistant coaches Denny Steele and Keith Laughary on his sideline for his entire career, and Reents has had Barry Southall, Rob Murphy and Bob Bolser as his assistants from the beginning.

“What you have to remember about Dan is that he always had Denny and Keith there with him,” Reents said.

“There’s something to be said for continuity like that.

They knew what to expect out of each other. We’ve had the same thing here, and I am grateful. Barry, Murph and Bols have been with me for all 22 years here, and it’s been great.

“Now, when you look at the Junior Cats youth program, some of the guys I coached early in my career are coaching their own kids, so they know our system and what we expect. That just keeps the program going.”

Scheibe also has benefitted from her time spent as an athlete and, early in her career, an assistant coach at Morris.

“I think that when I was a player at Morris, there was always an expectation for success that has carried with me to my coaching career,” she said. “I had great coaches like Kelly Hussey, Russ Battersby and John Mackinson who demanded a great deal

Coal City recently released the schedule for its annual Turkey Tournament, a five-

team round-robin event that runs Nov. 23 through Nov. 28.

Morris and Gardner-South Wilmington tip off the tourney Monday at 5:30 p.m., with Coal City taking on Serena at 7 p.m. that same night. On Tuesday, Serena will play Immaculate Conception Prep at 5:30 p.m.,

with Gardner-South Wilmington and Coal City playing at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Gardner-South Wilmington and Serena play at 5:30 p.m., with Morris taking on IC Prep at 7 p.m.

Hawks’ Duncan Keith preparing to come back from injury

By MARK LAZERUS mlazerus@suntimes.com CHICAGO – Of course, Duncan Keith’s leg was bothering him. He was playing about 30 minutes a night – hard minutes, too, against the physical Anaheim Ducks and the swift-skating Tampa Bay Lightning. He played 40 minutes four times, once nearly topping 50. Even a guy like Keith, regularly referred to as a physical “freak” by his teammates and coaches, is going to feel that.

So, no, Keith didn’t tell anyone his calf was starting to bug him midway through the Stanley Cup Final in June, after a Lightning player fell on his leg away from the play during either Game 3 or Game 4. Keith figured it was routine aches and pains, the price you pay for glory, all that stuff you’d expect

from a proud, professional athlete.

“It’s just one of those things where you kind of deal with a lot of different little injuries and pains, and you don’t think too much of it, really,” Keith said on Sunday. “When all of a sudden you get back on the ice [and] it’s not better, you’re kind of wondering what the heck happened.”

Maybe if Keith had mentioned something to his coaches, or the athletic trainers, or the team doctor, the team would have learned about the meniscal tear in his right knee earlier, and could have repaired it over the summer instead of during the season. Instead, Keith kept quiet. And after dealing with the pain during his summer workouts, and throughout camp, and into the first couple of weeks of the season, Keith fi-

nally relented. He had surgery Oct. 20, when it became clear that the nagging pain in his calf, and the limited mobility it caused, wasn’t going away.

When asked if he wished Keith had said something earlier, Joel Quenneville said, “Well, something like that, maybe you get to the summer and [expect it will] get better over time. That’s probably what happened.”

The good news is, Keith seems poised to return sooner than expected.

After skating with Marian Hossa while the rest of the team was in New Jersey, Keith joined his teammates for Sunday’s morning skate, and looked and felt good.

He’s eligible to come off longterm injured reserve Saturday at St. Louis, and while that seems optimistic, it hasn’t been ruled out, either.

Again, Keith sometimes seems more machine than man.

Sunday’s game against Edmonton was the ninth game Keith has missed, and the Hawks are 5-3-1 in his absence.

Trevor van Riemsdyk has picked up much of the slack, and rookies Erik Gustafsson and Viktor Svedberg have filled in capably. But Keith – a twotime Norris Trophy-winning defender and the engine that drives the Hawks’ puck-possession game – is all but irreplaceable.

“Obviously, we’re spoiled watching him play, on some nights, as many as 30 minutes a game,” Quenneville said. “So he has a big influence on our game, the game itself. Offensively, one area where we really miss Duncs is him with the puck coming out of our end. And in the offensive zone, as well. He

defends as good as anybody in the game. There’s definitely a void.”

Keith said the knee and calf already feel better, but won’t come back before he’s 100 percent ready. For most players, especially ones that bear the kind of workload that Keith does, a month or so off during the season could be a blessing in disguise.

But Keith’s not most guys.

“I think that’s one positive way to look at it,” he shrugged.

“But at the same time, I didn’t feel there was any mental fatigue. I think we’ve been through this situation before where we’ve had long seasons and a quick turnaround. It’s just something now where I can try to use this time to the best of my ability, and to rejuvenate, so when I come back, I can be ready to help the team.”

Panarin learning quickly through communication, experience

By MARK LAZERUS mlazerus@suntimes.com Artemi Panarin and Viktor Tikhonov were doing their standard postgame act – half serious interview, half vaudeville routine – in the Blackhawks’ dressing room following Sunday’s victory over the Edmonton Oilers. It’s become standard procedure by now: A reporter asks a question, Tikhonov interprets, Panarin starts answering, and Tikhnov interprets the answer as Panarin speaks.

Panarin already has become a master of one-liners, but this particular question – about

his growing – garnered a more lengthy, thoughtful response.

“I played a couple games not so well, and started thinking about things that were outside of my control,” Panarin said through Tikhonov. “I was a little embarrassed about my game. The guys came up and told me I needed to relax a little bit, trust in myself, and remember that I’m a good player.”

With that, Panarin cast a wary eye at Tikhonov and nudged him with his elbow.

“I’m an OK player,” Tikhonov clarified.

Yes, Panarin understands.

He understands the language a lot better, with Tikhonov

saying he’s picked up most of the hockey terms he needs to receive orders on the bench.

He understands how fortunate he is to be back on a line with the hottest player in the league, Patrick Kane, who is on a 10-game point streak and was named the NHL’s “first star” of the week after posting four goals and five assists in four games to tie Tyler Seguin for the league lead in points. And Panarin understands the modest nature of an NHL dressing room, where boasting is verboten, and the team always comes first.

It’s one reason why Panarin shrugs off talk that he’s the ear-

ly frontrunner for the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s rookie of the year. For one thing, he’s 24 years old and doesn’t think of himself as a rookie (Kane was 19 when he won the Calder in 2008). For another, he doesn’t want to spend too much time thinking about his stats, even though he’s at a point-a-game pace with four goals and 11 assists through 15 games – first among rookies, and eighth in the league overall.

“If I start looking at the league leaders and the stats, that kind of gets in my head,” Panarin said. “I definitely don’t look there. I’m just trying to play well. It just happened that

I couldn’t score [for 11 games].

It wasn’t [about] the goals, it was the way I was playing. I wasn’t exactly happy with the way I was playing. [Sunday] was much better. I hope that there won’t be any more games where I lose my confidence.”

Hawks coach Joel Quenneville generally agreed with Panarin’s “embarrassed” assessment of his last few games, when he was playing on the top line with Jonathan Toews.

A few “Who knows?” and an “I can’t put a finger on it” were the closest he could get to explaining why the Bulls continue to put in halfhearted efforts against teams that are clearly below their talent level.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t a mirror near his locker after the Bulls’ overtime loss Saturday to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Maybe then he could have gotten a glimpse of where the problem starts.

their. Heck, even in their season-opening victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rose was a minus-1.

“It’s all about effort,” Rose said after the game Saturday.

“We’ll get tired of getting our [butt] whupped one day, but it’s all about just bringing out that championship-caliber effort ev-

“We’ve got to be more consistent. We’ve got to stay together when we’re out there.

The good thing about this league is that we play again in a couple of days.”

Maybe it’s not such a “good thing.” After all, Saturday was supposed to be a good thing, too, in the wake of the Bulls’ high-energy victory Thursday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Rose’s 29-point performance against the Thunder had his defenders out in full force Friday, spewing declarations of “vintage Rose.” But he was limited to 11 points on 3-for-13 shooting against the Timberwolves.

So why do Rose and the

Bulls seemingly get up for spotlight games but turn in inconsistent efforts against the rest of the league?

“I don’t know,” Rose said.

“We can’t put a finger on it.

Who knows? If I had the answer, this would have been stopped. But it’s something I think we just have to figure out as a group.”

Rose then was asked whether that responsibility should fall on the veterans, starting with him.

“I wouldn’t single out one person, but it falls on the entire team,” he said. “It’s just bringing in that effort, being the aggressor when you’re out there on the defensive end, the offensive end.”

The entire team?

Aaron Brooks is allowed to have inconsistent games and inconsistent levels of energy.

That’s what a reserve point guard making $2.25 million a year does. But a guy making $20 million-plus this season who already has said he’s looking forward to his next freeagent payday in 2017? His energy level and effort have to be on full display from game to game and practice to practice.

Jimmy Butler shouldn’t have had to declare himself the de facto leader of the Bulls, but he saw very little choice, especially given that he shares a backcourt with a player who doesn’t even realize his star is dimming.

Hoiberg maintains fluid lineup against Philadelphia

By JOE COWLEY jcowley@suntimes.com PHILADELPHIA – Fred Hoiberg has maintained since the beginning of the regular season that the starting lineup was a fluid situation.

Further evidence of that was offered up Monday.

After the morning shootaround, the first-year Bulls coach declared the starting lineup would go unchanged, meaning Pau Gasol, Nikola Mirotic, Doug McDermott, Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose would get the nod.

But before tip-off, it was announced that Joakim Noah would start over Mirotic. That lasted about 30 minutes, as Noah tweaked his surgically repaired left knee and was scratched from the game.

It actually was a good time for Hoiberg to try something new, considering Mirotic was shooting only 22 percent from the field in his past four games, but the Noah injury has put that on hold for the time being.

Hoiberg has been no stranger to tinkering with the rotation, first making the switch from Noah to Mirotic late in

the preseason. Then last week, it was Doug McDermott getting the nod over Tony Snell.

“When you do make a change, like when we made the change with Tony and Doug, it wasn’t a demotion for Tony,” Hoiberg said. “It was for matchups, especially that particular game against Oklahoma City (last Thursday).

“You’re always thinking about it, and again, when you’ve had some inconsistencies you continue to put that through your thoughts and try and process everything. Try to do what’s best for the team. I

think we talked about this in the preseason. It’s probably not going to be completely set in stone for a while.”

The more pressing question for Hoiberg, however, was growing concerns that he could start sending a message to his players that the rookie coach still was searching.

According to Hoiberg, the best remedy for that remained communication.

“I think the biggest thing is communicating with them, and if you talk to them and keep that communication open, I think that’s the most

important thing,” Hoiberg said.

Derrick Rose is starting to lean toward wearing the protective mask throughout the rest of the season, even when his double-vision clears up.

“I mean for right now it seems like it’s the whole season,” Rose said. “It was too painful, man. Like I never want to go through that again. So if I’ve got to wear it the whole season, I’ll wear it. The mask is not a problem. It’s just that my vision is messed up right now.”

Special-needs daughter gets little notice from dad’s family Dear Abby: A year ago, I ended a turbulent five-year relationship with my boyfriend, “Alex,” that resulted in a special-needs child. Alex is not living in reality when it comes to our daughter’s disabilities, and his family is not present in her life.

Our daughter, “Meghan,” spent months in the hospital before she was healthy enough to come home, and Alex’s family visited only a few times.

I have tried to resolve the issues with Alex’s family so our daughter can have a relationship with them, but it is still one-sided.

Meghan’s paternal family will send a present for her birthday or Christmas, but

They have other grandchildren in other states whom his mother drives hours to see, but she won’t drive five minutes to see my daughter.

I find it disturbing that they’ll spend money on my child, but are unwilling to spend time with her. I feel the gifts are a payoff. I don’t want Meghan to feel like the odd man out when she’s old

Alone, these are not words typically used to describe the holiday season; unfortunately, these words are reality for some individuals.

Whether you or someone you know has experienced a recent death of a loved one, a divorce, or your home was destroyed by a tornado, some form of grief is experienced.

It is perfectly normal to feel sad when you have experienced a huge life change, as long as the sadness is not consuming you.

The goal of Blue Christmas programs is to bring people together who are experiencing similar life situations, for support, to validate your feelings, and to gain some valuable tools for moving forward with life so grief does not consume you.

Although the Behavioral Health Alliance does not facilitate any of the Blue Christmas events, we assist in promoting these events.

Blue Christmas in Grundy County continues to grow each year, verifying there is a need for these programs here.

We are happy to be able to inform readers there are four Blue Christmas events

in Grundy County during November and December this year.

Below is information regarding each of the Blue Christmas events the Behavioral Health Alliance is aware of: • Sunday – “Remembering During the Holidays,” 2 to 3 p.m., U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home, 301 W. Washington St., Morris.

by Kathy Cherven, RN, LPC, who specializes in grief counseling, and is open to all.
