T
he Oswego Chamber of Commerce, Village of Oswego leaders, and the Kendall County Health Department rallied the community, businesses, and volunteers to vaccinate local essential workers, adults, and teachers for Covid-19 protection. The old adage “It takes a Village” was never more apparent than in this valiant and successful effort when over 4,500 people were vaccinated with their 1st and 2nd doses this past March and April at Oswego High School. “The community came together and worked as one since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Troy
Parlier, Oswego Village President. “When we had the opportunity to provide the mass vaccination clinics, I had no doubt we would step up for this very important task. The Village government, Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and our residents all answered the call in a spectacular manner.” Village President Parlier added that “every department in the Village participated in this effort and really it would have to, in order to make this successful. If a department wasn’t directly involved in the planning and execution, they provided workers and volunteers. We should all be very proud of this effort.” u Continued on page 3
