n business, there is no better lesson than sharing personal experiences. That’s why attorney Aaron Vanagaitis has poured his energy into reinvigorating Young Professionals of Oswego. The group is a branch of the Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce, providing opportunities for members of the business community to share problems, solutions and ideas in the twice-monthly meetings. “We like open discussions on everything and anything to do with business,”
Vanagaitis said. “We’ve discussed how to handle a difficult customer, how to hire and fire someone and much more.” In early 2022, Vanagaitis was asked to lead the committee and he sought to revamp it, moving the meetings to first and third Tuesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Tap House Grill in Oswego. It offers a casual atmosphere with food, drink and what Vanagaitis calls the opportunity to be open with faults, areas one wants to improve.
