hat had been a balmy and mild November quickly changed last Friday and Saturday as a cold front and then a snowstorm struck northeastern Illinois. Snowfall totals for Kendall County ranged between three and seven inches while, according to the National Weather Service, a record 11.2 inches of snow fell on Chicago. Much of the snow was expected to melt today, Thursday, as temperatures were predicted to reach into the low 50s.
