Tucked away amidst the gorgeous Fox River Valley, downtown Geneva boasts more than 100 specialty shops located in historic storefronts and beautiful Victorian-style homes. Take some time to visit local merchants and discover unique gifts. During the show, dine at one of Geneva’s fine downtown eateries along State and Third streets, Dodson Place and other nearby locations. There’s so much to see, arts fairgoers might want to extend their stay by planning a weekend get-away. After a day of art, shopping and dining, spend the night in gracious accommodations. For more information on planning a weekend trip, visit our website at www.genevachamber.com or call 630.232.6060. The Arts Fair is supported by various community members. Savor the flavor of Geneva during Festival of the Vine
Around the Fair...
For 39 years, this autumn event has been about of the flavors of fall. The centerpiece of this festival revolves around food in our Flavor Fare tent. The event runs September 7-9 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at N. Fourth and State streets. Times vary for food & wine purchase. Geneva has a great number of fine restaurants showcased at the Flavor Fare along with glasses of unique wine to accompany your food, for purchase. The restaurants set up under one huge tent offering three of their favorite signature items. Visitors purchase tickets and buy a “taste” at one of the featured stalls in the tent. Versatile local and Chicago-land musical and dance entertainers will also be featured on the stage. Other events during the Festival include arts and crafts fair, merchant wine events and seminars, flower market, trolley and horse drawn carriage rides plus great shopping in Geneva’s historic downtown. We invite you to fall into fun at Geneva Chamber of Commerce’s Festival of the Vine. Check back in mid-August for a complete schedule of events, hours, and a brochure at http://www.genevachamber. com/festival_of_vine.php or call 630.232.6060.

Geneva Visitor Brochure showcases local artist An original watercolor, by local artist Bonnie Christensen, graces the cover of Geneva’s new Visitor’s Guide. This year’s cover is Pelindaba Lavender, 310 Campbell Street in Geneva. 2018 marks the 22nd landmark painted by Christensen for the guide. All are on display at Geneva Chamber’s office, 8 S. Third St., Geneva. “We have twenty-two beautiful pieces of art preserving some of Geneva’s most beautiful buildings. From the first piece of art created by Bonnie we knew she could paint the ‘picture postcard’ that we’d use to tell the Geneva story. We look forward to the unveiling of the new painting each year - it is a gift and unique only to Geneva, stated Jean Gaines, President of Geneva Chamber of Commerce. The new Geneva Visitor’s Guide will highlight shopping, dining, lodging, leisure and entertainment in addition to festivals and events for the year. It is primarily designed as a quick resource for both day visitors and overnight guests, but local residents can also utilize the guide to experience some of the best Geneva has to offer. The 2018-19 Visitor’s Guide is available now. Copies of the current free guide can be picked up at Geneva businesses, at the Geneva Chamber tourism rack
outside their building at 8 South Third Street or at the Arts Fair Information Booth. You can also call 630.232.6060 for a mailed copy. The Geneva Visitor Guide is Geneva’s only visitor brochure and is widely circulated throughout Illinois and the Midwest including: Illinois Office of Tourism - Chicago & Springfield; State of Illinois Department of Tourism; Area Hotels, Motels & Inns; Geneva Festivals; Tour Brokers and Local Merchants.
