Geneva

WELCOME to Festival of the Vine!

On behalf of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, it’s my absolute pleasure to welcome you to one of Geneva’s most beloved fall traditions—Festival of the Vine!

For over four decades, this event has been the toast of the season, bringing together everything we love about our community: mouthwatering cuisine, worldclass wines, incredible local talent, and that signature small-town warmth that makes Geneva so special. Whether you’re a returning guest or joining us for the very first time, we’re thrilled to have you here.

This year, we’re stirring things up with a few new surprises in the festival area—so keep your eyes open for fresh experiences and added fun!

Thanks to the generous support of the City of Geneva and Penrose Brewing Company, this year’s festival is set to be one for the books. From the iconic Flavor Fare and carefully curated wines and tastings, to local artisan markets, charming carriage rides, family activities, and nonstop live music, there’s something to delight every age and interest.

While you’re here, take time to stroll our storybook downtown—pop into our one-of-a-kind shops, dine at cozy cafés, and explore the scenic beauty that makes Geneva such a gem. Around every corner, you’ll find something to savor.

We extend our deepest thanks to our sponsors, business partners, volunteers, and everyone who pours their heart into making this weekend happen. Your dedication keeps this magical tradition alive and growing.

And the celebration doesn’t stop here! As autumn gives way to winter, mark your calendars for one of Geneva’s most cherished events—the Christmas Walk on December 5. Enjoy sparkling lights, cheerful carolers, roasted chestnuts, the enchanting arrival of Santa Claus, and Santa Lucia, the beautiful bearer of light in Swedish tradition. Plus, don’t miss our Holiday House Tour on December 5 & 6, where festively adorned homes open their doors to share the joy of the season. Tickets go on sale in midOctober—don’t wait!

Thank you for being part of this unforgettable weekend. We hope you make lasting memories at Festival of the Vine—and we can’t wait to welcome you back soon.

Cheers to fall, flavor, and fun!

Warmly, Paula

Five charming homes, aglow with holiday decorations, will open their doors to visitors for self-guided tours on Friday from 10 am to 8 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. The personality of each home will illuminate when local decorators and landscapers work with homeowners to create holiday magic. A portion of the proceeds from the House Tour are used to decorate Geneva for the holiday season. Tickets will be available to order in mid-October online or by phone. This event may sell out, so order early.

The holidays come alive in Geneva on Friday evening beginning with the arrival of Santa Lucia, the Swedish symbol of the season. She and her attendants offer Swedish cookies to merry makers. The Great Tree on the Courthouse lawn is lit and the young and young at heart will wait with anticipation as Santa Claus arrives. Santa will then be available for visits from excited children. All the excitement begins at 6 pm.

Amongst the twinkling lights and fresh greenery lined streets, chestnuts are roasting over open fires, carolers fill the night air with seasonal favorites, and a live nativity scene takes place. Dazzling window displays brimming with gift ideas invite shoppers to stroll through shops as merchants serve traditional holiday refreshments.
