O

WELCOME to Festival of the Vine!

n behalf of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to one of our community’s favorite fall traditions—Festival of the Vine!

For more than 40 years, this celebration has brought together the best of Geneva—delicious food, exceptional wine, live entertainment, and the warm hospitality that defines our town. Thanks to the support of Penrose Brewing Company and the City of Geneva for providing in-kind services, this year’s festival promises another unforgettable weekend. From September 11th through the 13th, eat delicious food during the Flavor Fare, drink unique wine and beer, find treasure at the craft fair, sing along to the free live entertainment and explore the beauty of Geneva in a horse-drawn carriage. While you’re here, take time to explore our charming downtown shops, restaurants, and scenic streets.

SHOP • DRINK • EAT • STAY • PLAY

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, participating businesses, dedicated volunteers, and everyone who helps make this festival a success. Your support keeps this tradition thriving. As the season changes, we invite you to return for one of Geneva’s most cherished holiday traditions— the Christmas Walk on December 4, featuring twinkling lights, festive carolers, roasted chestnuts, and the arrival of Santa Claus himself, as well as Santa Lucia- the Swedish symbol of Christmas. For an extra touch of holiday cheer, don’t miss our Holiday House Tour on December 4 and 5, where beautifully decorated homes open their doors to share the spirit of the season. Tickets go on sale in mid-October! Thanks again for coming out to the Geneva Chamber’s Festival of the Vine. We’re so glad you’re here! Paula Schmidt President, Geneva Chamber of Commerce

Winter Wonders Await Experience Geneva Holiday Magic Christmas Walk & House Tour – December 4 & 5

Yuletide cheer fills the winter air when Geneva prepares for its annual Christmas Walk and House Tour, December 4 and 5. A magical tradition held the first Friday and Saturday in December. Five charming homes, aglow with holiday decorations, will open their doors to visitors for self-guided tours on Friday from 10 am to 8 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. The personality of each home will illuminate when local decorators and landscapers work with homeowners to create holiday magic. A portion of the proceeds from the House Tour are used to decorate Geneva for the holiday season. Tickets will be available to order in mid-October online or by phone. This event may sell out, so order early. The holidays come alive in Geneva on Friday evening beginning with the arrival of Santa Lucia, the Swedish symbol of the season. She and her attendants offer

Swedish cookies to merry makers. The Great Tree on the Courthouse lawn is lit and the young and young at heart will wait with anticipation as Santa Claus arrives. Santa will then be available for visits from excited children. All the excitement begins at 6 pm. Amongst the twinkling lights and fresh greenery lined streets, chestnuts are roasting over open fires, carolers fill the night air with seasonal favorites, and a live nativity scene takes place. Dazzling window displays brimming with gift ideas invite shoppers to stroll through shops as merchants serve traditional holiday refreshments. A Geneva Christmas is one not to be missed. Visit genevachamber.com to discover more magical offerings throughout December.
