Kane County Fair celebrates 150 years of summer fun It’s time for the Kane County “Sesqui” Fair “tennial” - 150 years of celebrating family, fun and 4-H on Wednesday, July 18 through Sunday, July 22, 2018. The legacy of the Kane County Fair tradition has woven throughout Kane County from Aurora to Elgin to St. Charles, where the present Kane County Fairgrounds settled on Randall Road in 1955. A special pre-Kane County Fair event of Fantasy Amusements unlimited carnival rides specials with no gate admission takes place on Wednesday, July 18.
Cool down in the Prairie Events Center building and visit: • Sponsors - Presence Saint Joseph Hospital Elgin and Presence Mercy Medical Center Aurora • Wine tasting garden specials with local award-winning Prairie State Winery, August Hill Winery and Galena Cellars Winery, entertainment; and decorated “garden area” by Spring Bluff Nursery in Sugar Grove; Free Kane County Fair wine glass with $10 wine tasting purchase
The State of Illinois and the City of St. Charles have proclaimed Thursday, July 19 as Kane County Fair day in celebration of its 150th anniversary. Live it up and take in the sights & sounds of the Kane County Fair for four more days of live music on the Miller Lite Sound Stage and action-packed thrills in the grandstand.
