LOOKING FORWARD Roadside safety check set for this weekend in county The Illinois State Police District 15 will conduct a roadside safety check from 11 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday in Kane County. According to Commander Robert Meeder, the check will be on the ramp carrying westbound Reagan Memorial Tollway (Interstate 88) traffic to Route 31. Officers working this detail will be watchful for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages or driving under the influence.
