Blood drive set for Wednesday at STC Municipal Building ST. CHARLES – The city of St. Charles will host a blood drive from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Municipal Building, 2 E. Main St., St. Charles. More than 500 blood donations are needed daily to treat patients in the Illinois and Indiana hospitals supplied by Heartland Blood Center. Donors can give blood about every 56 days because blood cells are produced at a rate of 4 billion to 5 billion an hour.
