CHARLES – Holiday sleigh rides will be offered at Primrose Farm, 5N726 Crane Road, St. Charles Township, from 6 and 8 p.m. Dec. 26 to 28 and Jan. 3 to 4. Advance registration is required. Visit www.primrosefarmpark.com. The cost is $10 for St. Charles Park District residents and $15 for nonresidents. Children 1 and younger are free, and those 14 and younger must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Reception to be held for St. Charles police chief ST. CHARLES – A farewell reception for retiring St. Charles Police Chief James Lamkin will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday in the council chambers of the Municipal Building, 2 E. Main St., St. Charles.
