Interior Insight

Dear Mokena Community, The Mokena Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and I would like to thank you for your support during this most challenging year. Like all of you, we have had to adapt to these new challenges presented to us throughout 2020.

What you may not realize is that the Mokena Chamber of Commerce established in 1961, is a non-profit organization funded entirely on monies collected from membership dues and funds raised by sponsorships at our community events.

Our annual traditional events include our Community Business Expo, Chamber Golf Outing, 4th of July Parade, and Christmas Fest.

This year all these events were cancelled for the safety of the public due to the COVID-19

pandemic. Thus, through the leadership of our organization and generosity of our volunteers we created new safe events for our community to enjoy. We created an Independence Day House/Business Decorating Contest, a Garden Walk in July, a Halloween Scavenger Hunt, an upcoming Holiday Hoopla Palooza event in December, as well as this 2021 Community Calendar.

We can only continue to stay in existence and bring you our beloved community events along with helping our business community grow though your continued support and generosity.

Residents of the community have been asking how they can help support the chamber. You can do this through a Friend of the Chamber sponsorship for any dollar amount. For donations over $75, you will receive a Swag Bag full of chamber member goodies and a mention

in the Weekly E-Newsletter. Thank you for helping us help our businesses.
