Commit to serve either nine or eleven months as an Iowa Reading Corps AmeriCorps member. With your commitment, we can reach our goal to help more students become successful readers by the end of third grade. • Gain experience in an elementary school. Based on current educational research and with the oversight of literacy experts, members provide one-on-one literacy tutoring to K-3 students who are just below grade level in reading.
