The Jasper County Auditor’s Office is seeking applications for a full-time Auditor’s Clerk. This position normally works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., some evenings and weekends required. Projected start date is July 10, 2018. Starting pay is $14.94 an hour plus benefits. Duties entail performing data entry related to the transfer of real estate property, the review of real estate related documents, working with and advising those in private business and internal operations on real estate related matters. Transfers deeds, proofs surveys, maintains real estate files, updates tax book, reads and interprets maps, provides public information, assists in the administration of elections and any other duties that may be assigned by the Auditor. Previous experience working with real estate and the ability to read and interpret legal descriptions is preferred.
