The City of Colfax is seeking a qualified individual for full-time position as Director of the Public Works Department. Primary responsibilities include administration, budgeting and supervision of all city infrastructure. Supervise other employees. Operate and maintain all vehicles and equipment used by the Public Works Department. Works with contractors and supervises projects. Will have considerable direct contact with the public. The ideal candidate would have an excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills. Previous construction experience preferred. Must have or be able to obtain Class B with air brake endorsement CDL within 3 months. Must have or be able to obtain Water Treatment/Distribution Grade II and Wastewater Grade II licenses as dictated by DNR timelines. Position will start approximately May 3, 2020.
