STERLING – The Sterling Park District Board of Commissioners will have a public hearing Wednesday regarding its planned sale of $1.31 million in general obligation bonds. The bond sale does not require a referendum, because the amount doesn’t exceed the maximum allotted percentage of equalized assessed valuation. The amount requested by the park district is, like last year, at the ceiling of 0.525 percent of county EAV. Because of decreasing EAV, this year’s bond sale will produce $19,000 less than last year.
