A BIRD’S EYE VIEW Steve Siefken/Shaw Media

A bald eagle has a bird’s eye view of the Mississippi River as it sits high in a tree on a clear day at Lock and Dam 13 near Fulton. Many eagles could be seen below the dam after frigid temperatures caused the river to freeze over. The open water allows the raptors to hunt fish in the river.
