PLANT AND PAINT
Sarah Ford for Shaw Media
Harper Parr (left) and Madison Hook, both 10 and of Albany, were part of the kids’ volunteer crew at the Albany Marina on Saturday, June 4, for a plant and paint day sponsored by the Albany Riverfront Committee. The girls planted flowers and then got creative by painting their hands to make handprints on a concrete cube. Despite some wind and a little rain, more than a dozen kids worked alongside adult volunteers to beautify the marina while nurturing a sense of community pride. See page 2.
