EAGLE WATCH Sarah Ford for Shaw Media

Thomson Park Ranger Kevin Zidarich focuses a scope on a bald eagle at Lock & Dam 13 in Fulton on Saturday, Jan. 8, during the annual Eagle Watch Day. Rangers Zidarich and Allison Borkowski, both with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, were stationed at the dam with scopes and information on bald eagles, with dozens of visitors climbing the platform for a better view. The dam is a perfect fishing spot for the birds of prey during bitter cold and ice, Borkowski said, adding that more than a hundred were spotted feeding and roosting on Saturday.
