Jan. 27

Mario Galeas-Flores, 30, of Cleveland, Texas was arrested at 9:27 p.m. for not having a valid driver’s license after deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at Twombly Road for a traffic offense. Galeas-Flores was released on scene with a return court date of Feb. 10 at 9 a.m.

Jan. 29

At approximately 11:03 p.m., deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident with suspected injuries in the 11,000 block of North Illinois 2.

After an investigation, deputies learned Angie Forgione, 42, of Crystal Lake, was traveling southbound on North Illinois 2 and swerved to avoid a deer. Forgione lost control of her vehicle, traveling into the east side ditch where she overturned.

Forgione was transported to a nearby hospital for her injuries by Byron EMS. Deputies were assisted on scene by

Antonio Escatel, 44, of Mendota was arrested for domestic battery. Escatel was released on a $3,000 or 10 percent bond and will appear in court on Feb. 26 at 9 a.m.

Jan. 30

Raul Amador Jr., 32, of Rockford was arrested at 4 a.m. for criminal damage to property after deputies responded to an address in Stillman Valley in reference to a disturbance.

Amador Jr. was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

Feb. 1

At 10:48 a.m. deputies responded to a one vehicle accident in the 17,000 block of East Ritchie Road. After an investigation, deputies cited a 16-yearold juvenile male for driving without a license. The male was not injured due to the accident and was given an I-bond for his citation.

OREGON POLICE

Oregon Police Chief Shawn Melville reports the following police activity.

Jan. 25

Melissa A. Kidder, 35, of Oregon, was issued a citation at 3:39 p.m. for disobeying a traffic control device. This violation occurred at the intersection of 10th and Webster Streets.

Jan. 26

At 9:48 a.m., police investigated a one-vehicle traffic crash in the 900 block of W. Washington Street involving a 2007 Lexus driven by Vikram N. Pandya, 29, of Chicago. No citations were issued.

Jan. 27

At 5:24 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Illinois 64 and South Daysville Road involving a 2013 Ford driven by Michael A. Olson, 65, of Oregon, and a 2002 Ford driven by Matthew S. Elsasser, 27, of Freeport. Olson was issued a citation for improper backing.

Jan. 28

At 2:30 p.m., a 14-year-old female juvenile of Mt. Morris, was issued a city citation for the offense of violating the Tobacco Products and Alternative Nicotine Products Ordinance by possessing a vape pen. The juvenile was released into her parents’ custody.

Jan. 29

At 5:54 p.m., police responded to a disturbance call in the 100 block of Moring Court resulting in the arrest of Oscar Hernandez, 41, of Oregon, for domestic battery, and the arrest of Fred L. McCarty, age 32, of Oregon, for domestic battery. Both Hernandez and McCarty were transported to the Ogle County Jail.

Seventy-nine parking tickets and one verbal warning issued during Jan. 25 through Jan. 31.
