Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle reports the following activity.
Nov. 30
Andrew Swift, 36, of Mt. Morris, was arrested for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and driving while license suspended after a traffic stop at the intersection of Depot and Worth streets in Oregon at around 4:10 p.m. He also was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle. Swift was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held pending a court appearance.
Dec. 2
Gustavo Martinez Suarez, 45, of Olathe, Kansas, was arrested for driving without a valid licenses after a traffic stop in the 4000 block of south Illinois Route 2 at around 2 a.m. Martinez Suarez also was cited for speeding and inoperable registration light. Martinez Suarez was released on a $2,500 I-Bond and given a future court date.
Dec. 3
At around 11:35 a.m., deputies and Stillman Valley Fire Protection District and EMS were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Kishwaukee and Meridian roads in rural Stillman Valley. An investigation showed Leann Gray, 80, of Kirkland, was northbound in a Toyota Rav4 on Kishwaukee Road when she failed to negotiate a curve just prior to the intersection with Meridian Road. Gray sustained several non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to SwedishAmerican Hospital for further treatment.
Dec. 5
At 1:41 a.m., deputies, the Rochelle Fire Department and the Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Mulford Road at Gillis Road. An investigation showed that Ryan Anderson, 42, of Sycamore, was driving a Honda Accord north on Mulford Road and failed to negotiate a curve near the intersection with Gillis Road. As a result, the Honda left the west side of the roadway and overturned in the field. Anderson was extricated from the vehicle and transported by Rochelle Fire Department ambulance to Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford where he was in stable condition. Anderson was cited for driving while under the influence and improper lane usage. Anderson was released on an I-Bond and given a future court date.
At approximately 6:07 p.m., deputies, along with Lynn Scott Rock EMS were dispatched to the intersection of North Illinois Route 251 and East Lindenwood Road for a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
It was reported that one vehicle on scene was fully engulfed in flames from the accident.
After an investigation, it was determined that a silver Hyundai Sonata, driven by Andrew Sampson,31 of Lindenwood, was traveling eastbound on East Lindenwood Road, just west of North Illinois Route 251 when he failed to stop at the posted stop sign, at which time he entered the intersection and struck a gray Ford Focus, driven by Renee Rowe, 51 of Rockford, in a head on collision.
Both vehicles sustained major front end damage and Rowe was later transported to Swedish American Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Sampson was placed arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was held in lieu of bond. Sampson was issued additional citations of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to stop at an intersection.

Matthew W. Martin, 34, of Mt. Morris, was issued citations at 10:15 a.m. for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. These violations occurred in the 900 block of W. Washington Street.
Dec. 4
Joshua T. Elmendorf, 25, of Amboy, was issued a citation at 9:22 a.m. for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. This violation occurred in the 300 block of W. Washington Street.
Margo L. Gardner, 62, of Chana, was issued a citation at 9:46 a.m. for operating a vehicle with an expired registration. This violation occurred in the 300 block of W. Washington Street.
Bria J. Petkovich, 28, of Oregon, was issued a citation at 8:57 p.m. for use of a cell phone while driving. This violation occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street.
Eight parking citations and three verbal warnings issued during the week Nov. 28-Dec. 4.
