Oregon Police Chief Shawn Melville reports the following police activity.
Sept. 12
Aaron E. Adams, 35, of Rochelle, was arrested at 3:13 a.m. for driving while license suspended. Adams was transported to the Ogle County Jail. These violations occurred in the 1000 block of Pines Road.
Jonathan R. Campos, 36, of Oregon, was arrested at 10:38 p.m. for driving while license suspended. Campos was also issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended for no insurance. Campos was transported to the Ogle County Jail. These violations occurred in the 300 block of West Washington Street.
Sept. 13
James M. Malik, 30, of Moline, was issued a citation at 6:15 a.m. for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred at the intersection of 10th Street and Pines Road.
At 11:26 a.m., police took a report of a traffic crash that occurred on Sept. 7 in the parking lot of Oregon Super Value, 204 N. Fourth Street involving a 2008 Buick driven by Kaye W. Davis, 84, of Oregon, and a 2016 Chevrolet driven by Eva M. Bucci, 75, of Oregon. No citations were issued.
Michael J. Reyes, 59, of Chicago, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. on an outstanding Cook County warrant for driving under the influence – alcohol. Reyes was transported to the Ogle County Jail.
Sept. 15
At 3 p.m., police was advised of a hit and run that had occurred in the 200 block of Madison Street involving parked 2013 Ford owned by Tina M. Gordy, 37, of Mt. Morris, Upon conducting a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the offending vehicle, a 2016 Chevrolet, driven by Eva M. Bucci, 75, of Oregon, had unknowingly struck Gordy’s vehicle. Bucci was issued a citation for improper backing.
Sept. 17
Brooke W. Young, 30, of Oregon, was arrested at 3:06 a.m. on an outstanding Lee County warrant for failure to appear. Young was transported to the Ogle County Jail.
At 1:02 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at Fourth and Washington Streets involving a 2020 Ford driven by Marsha L. Piper, 71, of Dixon, and a 2018 Toyota driven by Phillip N. Morris, 83, of Amboy. Piper was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Audrey M. Mongan, 27, of Oregon, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. for driving while license revoked, driving while under the influence of alcohol, and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. Mongan was transported to the Ogle County Jail. These violations occurred in the 200 block of S. Fourth Street.
Sept. 18
At 1:20 p.m., police investigated a one-vehicle traffic crash in the 800 block of N. Illinois Route 2, involving a 2020 Chevrolet driven by Rashaun L. McTizic. McTizic was issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident.
Sept. 19
Victor J. Schwartz, 36, of Oregon, was arrested at 10:41 p.m. for driving while license suspended. Schwartz was transported to the Ogle County Jail. This violation occurred in the 500 block of Monroe Street.
Sept. 20
Ashley A. Martinez, 28, of Oregon, was arrested at 1:36 a.m. for driving while under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with blood alcohol content greater than .08%. Martinez was also issued a citation for improper lane usage. A passenger in Martinez’s vehicle, Lee Ann Komadina, 48, of Rochelle, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for assault. Both Martinez and Komadina were transported to the Ogle County Jail. These violations occurred in the 200 block of S. Fourth Street.
Sept. 21
Terrance B. Harris, Jr., 18, of Oregon, was issued a civil citation at 8:46 p.m. for possession of cannabis not more than 10 grams. A passenger in Harris’ vehicle, Brayden T. Burkhart, 18, of Chana, was issued a city citation for violating Ordinance 6-84, possession of tobacco products and alternative nicotine products. These violations occurred while in Carnation Park, 1 Webster Street.
Sept. 22
At 6:15 a.m., police responded to a disturbance call in the 900 block of Madison Street resulting in issuing Randi M. Suter, 34, of Oregon, a city citation for violating the noise ordinance. Chet Harrolle, 39, of Leaf River, was also issued a city citation for violating the noise ordinance.
At 7:11 a.m., police responded to the 1300 block of W. Washington Street for a car vs. deer traffic crash involving a 2019 GMC driven by Stacy A. Flanagan, 58, of Oregon. No citations were issued.
Sept. 24
Evelyne P. Matakina, 19, of Coralville, Iowa, was arrested at 2:42 a.m. for no valid driver’s license. Matakina was transported to the Ogle County Jail. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. Fourth Street.
At 12:15 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of S. Fourth and Washington Streets involving a 2013 Chevrolet driven by Luke M. Furr, 24, of Rock Falls, and a 2014 Nissan driven by Eduardo E. Paneque, of Melrose Park. Furr was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Twelve parking citations and six verbal warnings issued Sept. 12-25.
