Oregon Police Chief Shawn Melville reports the following police activity.
Aug. 1
At 12:32 p.m., police responded to a traffic crash at 211 S. 4th Street, the McDonald’s restaurant, involving a 2017 Audi driven by Loran R. Greenfield, 80, of Forreston, and a parked 2016 Ford driven by T. Joyce Sanders, 81, of Oregon. No citations were issued.

arrested for domestic battery after deputies responded to the 100 block of Main Street in Holcomb at around 9:09 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. Keaster also had an active Rockford arrest warrant for domestic battery. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
July 31
Hanna Borys, 32, of Carol Stream, was arrested for driving while under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol. Deputies responded to the 1400 block of North River Road at around 3:06 a.m. for a reported one-vehicle crash. Borys also was cited for improper lane usage, no insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Borys was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released on an I-Bond.
Brandon Bjerga, 33, of Rock Island, was arrested for driving on a revoked license after a traffic stop in the 7000 block of North River Road at around 8:55 p.m. Bjerga also was cited for possession of cannabis and no registration light.
Aug. 1
Jose Velazquez-Mejia, 25, of Mt. Morris, was arrested for driving while under the influence after deputies responded to the 10000 block of Illinois Route 2 for a one-vehicle crash at around 2:52 a.m. Velazquez-Mejia also was cited for improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Aug. 2
Gabriel C. Guerra, 19, of Savanna, was issued a citation at 7:59 a.m. for operating a vehicle with an expired registration. This violation occurred near the intersection of 10th and Washington Streets.
